We liked this place. The service was efficient without being intrusive and the food was very good and not overly expensive. Beetroot salad with goats cheese croquettes was delicious, pork chop was well done and the cheese board generous (and not refrigerated!) definitely a place we'll go again.

We booked here for a Sunday dinner with our children. Immediately we were drawn to the fabulous new outdoor areas, you could be mistaken for being somewhere abroad it had that lovely atmosphere to it! We noticed that they have a BBQ Sat & Sun until 7, great idea.

Once inside we had the most friendly welcome from staff & our table was ready for us. The service was quick & appreciated, the food was amazing. We didn't feel pressured to hurry our meal, we were left to relax & enjoy our family time.

We would highly recommend this great place.

This was our first visit to The Windmill last night and we went for the steak night. The food was really lovely. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Really lovely venue, great service and a fab night. Will definitely go back and would highly recommend.

The Windmill has a lovely rustic country pub/ restaurant feel, with open log fires, and a lovely comfy atmosphere. The staff here are professional and polite and the food is wonderful. The Windmill has plenty of parking, an outdoor play area and lovely outdoor space to enjoy in the summer. The menu is fantastic, the drinks menu is too and I’ve been here several times and it’s always been consistent with quality.

User

Me & my husband love this place. Recommend it to everyone we meet. We always get a warm & friendly welcome, the husband gets a hand shake, & the staff are very polite and cannot do enough for you. The food is fantastic, michelin star style food if you ask me! It is such a beautiful quaint place inside & the newly refurbed outside & outdoor kitchen make it a desirable location during the summer months. If you are looking for cheap "pub grub" this place isn't for you, but you will get great gastro style pub food with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

User

Lovely afternoon eating, drinking and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend the oysters, cockles and the scotch eggs on the sharing plates. BBQ was excellent. All fresh ingredients. Would definitely come back.

User

Just got back from The Windmill after having lunch with my wife for her birthday.

The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive and the pub is very nicely done inside and out. It was our first time there and it definitely won't be our last

I Love this place, my partner googled it some time ago. We had lunch here at one occasion and Sunday Roast few times, always so good than we drive 30 min from our house to eat there. Staff members always nice and friendly.

User

Frequent visitors, we had yet another lovely meal on Friday night. Friends were visiting from Spain and also had a great time. A ‘birthday plate’ was presented to my husband along with sweets and truffles at the end of our meal. Staff very attentive as always. Thank you.

User

First time at this eatery. I ordered from the express meal but this meal did not come up short. The presentation was fantastic, the food was tasty and filling and the staff were very accommodating. Will definitely visit again.

Came here yesterday with my family to celebrate my daughters 9th birthday. There were 16 of us, with the youngest being 18 months. I would like to say the food was lovely, the garden a delight and the service was superb. They couldn't do enough for us. Thankyou for making the day so lovely we will def be back

User

Absolutely amazing as always. Even though they were fully booked, still managed to accommodate us in the outside area which was perfect for the children with the play area and the food especially the fish and chips was by far the best I've ever I had and I mean That!! Definitely won't be disappointed if you visit here.

User

Food was really good but it is very pricey for portion size - the squid at £7 for only 7 little strips is pretty outrageous. Delicious but unwarranted with that big a price tag. Best pud ever though!!

User

Nice village gastro pub but slightly overpriced. As part of a mid-week party of 8, we waited nearly an hour for staters which came up wrong. Main course was over cooked. It is nevertheless a popular venue and looked busy. Glass of Rioja £11 so you sense you're being overcharged. Waiting staff well trained, attentive and polite.

Me & my partner went for the first time, for a bank holiday treat, the food was lovely staff were ok !! But the service was very slow.also the bill came & we were quite shocked as the booze was more than the food ... so I suggest you bring your own booze

But food was really good.

User

I visited last night with my mum to celebrate her birthday. Food was faultess, however with 3 gin and tonics each and food it came to £125 altogether!!

Was not expecting such a high price tag for a 'pub' for two people!

Unfortunately will not be returning - it must look at its prices as this is a village pub not London!!!

User

Food, can not complain about was lovely!

Had a starter then the sharing steak then pudding, came to over £100 for two. The only let down was the staff, some were ok but some were very abrupt & didn't really feel like they cared if you enjoyed your meal or not. More smiles would be good.
