Visited last week, my daughter had Lasagne so bland no herbs or spices one bit of tomato in it. I had chicken with JD sauce, sliced chicken was cold, veg was cold and I don’t think the sauce had sniffed a bottle of JD! All in all it was disgusting and will not be going back!

1 star is a double mark cos I cannot do a half, not very good at all, room cold and when we told they put a fan heater on a table, there was 18 of us booked in but when the first couple got there food it was about 20 minutes before somebody else got there's and then another wait before somebody else and 2 people were actually giving up on getting any begore theres arrived,,the roast potatoes were burnt and the last 3 Sunday dinners did not get yorkshire puddings although they should have done so they must have run out or not have any warmed up having said that the yorkshire puddings that did arrive looked more like flat pancakes also we like yo drink whiskey and dry ginger but they had no dry ginger so we had to have lemonade,a first visit but DEFINITELY NOT ANOTHER, NO WAY

Probably the worst roast dinner I've ever had. Black roast potatoes. Thick skin on the gravy. Instant mash. Dry Pork with no crackling. No stuffing or apple sauce. Over cooked anaemic veg. Staff were lovely and admitted it wasn't up to standard and dealt with it appropriately.

Called here for the first time today. Recommend to visit by my parents who have been several times and told us how lovely it is. We were excited to finally visit with them but sadly we left disappointed. Waited 40 minutes for the pork roast dinners (which is fine if cooked from fresh) to be served with no Yorkshire pudding, dried up veg, black roast potatoes, instant mash, dried meat and gravy with a thick skin. A flat Yorkshire pudding finally arrived but inedible! No crackling or apple sauce either. Only positive was the chips from the child menu, these were lovely and clearly freshly cooked! The only reason I'm rating two stars and not one is because of the lovely lady who cleared the table, apologised and said she could see why we were unhappy and dealt with it appropriately. A huge thank you to her but we won't returning!

Went there for Saturday lunch, probably the worst meal we have ever had.
ordered cheese on garlic bread to start - after half hour wait it turned up cold - pub was almost empty.
Ordered fish, chips mushy peas - after a long wait (pub was empty) peas were hard and rubbery probably reheated many times, fish was good but batter was soft and stogy, chips were oven chips.
My partner had thai fish cakes (supposedly) these did not taste of any kind of fish, had the consistency of cardboard soaked in oil and were completely inedible.Suggest people keep well away from this place.
I think they deliberately keep you waiting so that you drink more beer.
Its obvious why the place was empty.

Food was fine. Sunday roast was good and served hot. Will return at some point

Booked a table for 6pm after being told they were full till then, we arrived at 550pm and the place was empty. Sat at table for 10 minutes waiting to order and then told we had to order at bar. Food ordered at 615pm and had to chase up at 655pm as it still had not arrived. Food for half the table arrived at 7pm and the other half 10 minutes later. Food was nice but clearly rushed out and the vegetables were not cooked properly. Not even an apology from the staff or management.

Good choice and brilliant food. Fantastic service would definitely dine here again!

Plenty of parking. Rooms OK, though could do with cleaning upgraded as the showerhead was limescale, dirt around shower control and dust on bedside lamp. Food was OK but a ridiculously long wait for service and food to come out, for dinner and breakfast. Staff were friendly.

A nice pub that sells good food at a reasonable price.
Quite large portions so take note if you only fancy a light bite....

Christmas dinner was booked but there were no crackers, decorations or music. It took 20 mins to get all if the starters out and so people were finished when some were starting. The food was all processed (exception being salmon) turkey roll, frozen veg etc. We had to ask for cutlery to eat our food and we're looked after by staff who obviously did not want to be there. Never again.....

Very tasty food. Reasonable prices. Nice staff.

I did not stay at the Windmill, we just went for a meal. Lovely pub food and great location. Not a lot of parking though. Overall good pub food and nice variety.

We went for the Sunday lunch and it was fantastic. Great price and very good portion sizes. Would definitely recommend to others.
