Was there yesterday for food. Absolutely amazing. Beautiful view across the lake just adds to it. We'll definitely be back :-)

Took my partner and family here to celebrate her birthday on recomendation....



I have to say I was more than impressed, what a great place to eat/drink.....



Very clean, great view of the lake, very friendly staff.....



Orders for drinks taken as soon as we were seated and didnt have to wait very long for meals to arrive. My partner and her daughter ordered the dressed crab from the specials menu and although it tasted very nice, my partners crab had quite a bit of shell in it. We didnt complain but highlighted this to our waitress who promptly brought the manager.....



What a proffesional genuinely nice man he was....

He was very apologetic and immediately offered my partner an alternative meal at no extra cost......



The alternative meal arrived shortly afterwards and was perfect......



Despite the unfortunate experience with the crab, which was most likely a one off, the food here was perfect and the service was second to none.....



We will deffinately be returning here and would highly recommend it to anyone.....



A great place for couples or families (as kids are catered for) to enjoy a nice meal in nice surroundings.....

My 1st visit here was on Sunday (20/5/18) with my brother, sister and her husband. We sat outside in the beer garden enjoying our drinks in the lovely, beautiful weather. Its very comfortable because when it started going dark we sat inside. The staff are all friendly and its in a perfect location with a fantastic view of the lake with the most amazing views around it. Reasonable prices for both drinks and food, and excellent quality. I would highly recommend a visit and will definitely return again. Thank you all. Xxx

Just had a wonderful birthday meal! Thank you so much to Lorrie and all the staff! We were some very tricky customers. Started as last minute party of 13 (booked day before!) and ended up 23! Manager helped us out with best times, very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Food was great, kids loved it! (Decent quality sausages!) And our food was hot, on time and not a single issue with any meal. And that's saying something for a big table like ours! I normally don't write these....a bit sceptical.... but seriously enjoyed the night! Thanks again guys!

If you like a nice traditional home-made roast dinner it’s the one

I would definitely recommend the wine press, Hollingsworth lake to my family and friends great food, friendly staff, and what a beautiful place I will be going back in a couple of weeks.

Had a wonderful party on 28th April in the function room to celebrate my husbands 100th Marathon.

Everything was perfect. The room which had been dressed by the staff looked stunning, and of course the views of the lake are amazing. The food was fantastic and the bar staff were very efficient. Special thanks to Lori who couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you Wine Press for making the occasion so memorable. I would highly recommend xx

Had a lovely walk round the lake and got wet thru in the rain, called in the Wine Press to be greeted by a lovely young girl behind the bar who was so nice polite & made us feel very welcome..... can't wait to visit again soon, by the way the food was fab too.....���

Had a fantastic meal here tonight, it was actually our 3rd choice but we're so glad the first two places we tried were full! Service was amazing, staff were very accommodating, allowing my fussy son to have a panini even tho they menu said they'd stopped serving them. Every member of staff was very friendly and polite, and very attentive to our children, which they loved. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, even my daughter's kids fish and chips. (she actually said wow! when it arrived, and loved the way her beans were in a separate pot) We will definitely be back.

Gorgeous food, great service and fantasic location adjacent to the lake. You can tell the food is home made. Had chicken liver pate and sausage and mash. Superb. �

Great Pub to relex in after walk the Lake outwieghed by Extorianate Soft Drinks Prices To make it worst £1.40 for Soda Water Manger informed me its the Money Grabbing Company who own it lining there own Pockets

Been here both on my motorbike(specific parking at the front is a plus)and without the bike.

Different attitudes depending on your mode of transport or in bike leathers it seems.

Came over today on the bike,Young lady at the bar a bit "off" in attitude when i ordered a coffee and panini.



My coffee was nice but arrived around 25mins before my panini arrived.... So id drunk it!

Long wait for a panini... Not busy even at 12.30pm

Food ok but had better. For £8



The place itself is souless inside,with sky sports on with nobody watching it(turn it off?)

Non too great music being piped about(no need really)

Just feels empty and lifeless.



You know bikers have always gone here for many years. But it seems it doesn't really know what it wants to be this place? Its trying to be a upmarket place but really a updated pub!



It could be a lot nicer to be honest.



The benches outside have great views and prob better sat outside but too chilly today.

Food was ok, but found half a grub in my potato and realised I'd eaten the other half. Spoke to staff and they could give a damn! Won't be back any time soon

Been here a couple of times and it’s always been nice. However bar maid was extremely rude today, threw menus and change at us. No customer service whatsoever.

We won’t be returning.

Went to take my my wife for a mean as as we arrived the place was pretty much empty. We asked for a table for 2 and we were told ‘not sure let me check’ then when we got our table we were expecting a mad rush of people or the pub to get busy and nope there was us and 3 other diners.



When we ordered the food it was all frozen food that had been reheated. For starters we ordered the duck spring rolls which were exactly the same as the one you might buy from Iceland except these ones were very dry, we also ordered the kebabs and they were again like the ones you can buy from any supermarket.



When the waiter came over to see how things were we mentioned that the duck spring rolls were dry and were told oh sorry, would you like to order your mains now.



So I ordered the duet tag pudding and chips as on the menu it stated homemade chunky chips and sounded delicious. Then they served me with FROZEN chips. I asked two of the waiters if the chips were frozen and both denied it however I know a frozen chip when I see one and they were bloody frozen chips!



All in all the service was terrible, the food was overpriced and frozen, there is a limited menu and the atmosphere is dull.



Avoid, stay in and get a takeaway instead!
