Had a family breakfast meal for eight there yesterday. Reception and service was good, food was as I had expected, good value for the price. Only spoilt by everyone’s poached and fried eggs being hard and not runny

A lovely meal, waitress was very friendly and interacted well with the young children in the party. Service could be said to be a bit of on the slow side but I found it enjoyable having time to chat between courses. I wasn't really keen on going as had a bad experience there a couple of years ago and have never been back. Was pleasantly surprised at how things have changed.

We went on a Saturday and admittedly it was busy but the service was really slow and they ran out of wine glasses so we were drinking wine out of half pint glasses. Classy. Also some of the meals didn't come with what we ordered. I have had some good meals in there but when it's busy they don't seem able to cope.

Was a little unorganised but i think they were short staffed and by the time one of our ladies got her meal we had practically all finished ours but the food was nice �

Works Christmas meal. Had to ask for our Christmas crackers and prosecco. After waitress cleared the table and brought coffee she asked if we'd be having anything else and would we like our bill. Thought that was very rude, talk about trying to rush you out. Food was nice though

Was so disappointed, we come here a lot but to the bar and always thought it was nice here so that's why I and a group of friends met up here for dinner on a fri 21st of July. They were very slow, had no prosecco, ordered our starters then was told 20mins later they didn't have it so had to have something else. My starters of pate n toast was awful, the bread was stale. Two of my friends steak was over done n potatoes burnt and waited over an hr for our food. I was so embarrassed coz I suggested we'd eat here and now where never b eating here again. Such a shame, I know they've a new chef whoevers cooking now isn't very good. I may go in to order food n take pics t show., if only I'd thought of that in the first place.

Unfortunately we didn't have a very good experience here this time. The chips were raw in the middle and my steak was very chewy with lots of gristle. The waitress was very good and they took our drinks of the bill. Be a while before go back though, if at all.

Unfortunately despite booking a early table 6.30pm the service was so slow there didn't seem to be enough staff, it took 45 minutes between starter and main , drinks were ordered when starter collected but I had almost finished my main meal before they turned up despite a waitress commenting and going to sort out. There didn't seem to be anyone to ask to correct things as the only waiter was run off his feet .

I eat here regularly but was very disappointed with the service tonight especially as we were celebrating a birthday.

Not the best experience we’ve had there , flat iron steak was cold and over cooked my sirloin was good but chips awful and soggy , tried to redeem birthday voucher given to us by beefeater reward card but took ages to sort out the bar staff looked overworked I felt sorry for them the manager didn’t even apologise for taking so long to sort out my voucher however we like the location to the Premier Inn and always use both establishments on our visits to Gravesend

It is sad that The Woodlands, like so many other Beefeaters we have visited, has become so hit and miss with its customer service and food. There is always a lack of waitng staff. I think they need to employ older people with more experience.......or actually give their staff proper and adequate training.



We were there 6th May. Long waiting times between courses. Plates just banged down on the table. Nobody asked us if we needed any sauces. He was gone before we even looked up. My well done steak in my mixed grill was cremated. Couldn't cut it least ofall eat it. Ok they knocked my main off the bill but no-one offered us a dessert menu tea or coffee nor at any time did any enquire if everything was OK.



Someone in charge needs to research how well the place was run 30 years ago and make some necessary changes.



Not planning on coming back unless they can assure me they do read our reviews and that improvements are likely

I have visited this beefeater on a few occasions in the past, but since I visited a few weeks ago this place has gone down hill!!



We waited to be seated, after a number members of staff saw us waiting and not acknowledge we were there. We had to wait ages to order desserts and the toilets were disgusting. The men's toilets stunk of urine my friend mentioned and in the ladies there were fungi mushrooms growing out the ceiling!! Will not be visiting again!!!

Had a side salad with meal - a few leaves out of a bag, one slice of cucumber and not a tomato in sight. Very poor and not worth paying for, oh and it seems prices are on their way up, for what I don't know

1 hour to get our meal. Seemed to be a shortage of staff.

And for deserts. NO ICE CREAM. So no one got the desert they want.

tables not cleaned in over an hour. Our party was left feeling very unhappy with every part of our meal.

It totally screwed up my birthday meal with my family.

Sorry to have to say but wasn't a good experience at all. Had a table booked for 20.00, arrived and was told a table wasn't available. Was asked to go into the bar for 15/20 minutes and come back, which we did.

Was shown to our table and we gave orders for food and drinks.

Drinks arrived quite quickly but unfortunately can't say the same about the food. One and a half hours later still no food. Then after complaining meals arrived. I ordered the mixed grill even though was told there's no gammon but was told I could have an extra sausage. Unfortunately they were like bullets, couldn't even cut into them or get a fork into them.

It was getting so late that my five year old son was falling asleep by this time.

Our waitress was lovely and helpful and clearly our bad experience wasn't down to her.

On visiting your establishment we expected to have a nice family meal as we have had before the refurbishment. It seems the paint fumes have warped the previously helpful staffs minds (it was lead after all that brought down Rome)



We made it as far as our first round of drinks, when disaster struck. Our Android bar lady person had a right monk on and served us a glass of wine with a smooch of red lipstick on the side. We are usually ok with buying lipstick from the nice Avon lady and don't expect lipstick to be served as a bar snack. When we asked for a clean glass, we failed to ask properly and therefore had the glass change, but the wine remained the same. The new glass had something that we can only hope was snot and not carcinogenic Android love oil. When this was once again, very politely brought to the bar lady's attention, she took it back and finally identified the only remaining clean glass available with once again the same wine. My sister who usually doesn't say boo to a goose pointed out that perhaps an apology or a smile or some other form of positive verbal or non verbal communication would be helpful.



We then found that Android bar lady is equipped with a speech synthesizer . Much to our amazement, voice recognition also seemed to work. She told us not to be so rude, we pointed out that we are the customers and a clean glass and an apology is reasonable.



We then requested a manager, she was abrupt and unhelpful and did nothing to make us feel listened to or valued. Bar lady told us to f**k off, with at least two managers present. Managers made excuses for dirty glasses and said our expectations are too high.



We eventually had a refund and our family reunion was ruined. We then had a lovely meal with lovely staff at the Harvester.

Disappointed when went on Thursday for lunch had starter potato dip both of us that's always nice main course feta cheese lasagne didn't enjoy lasagne pasta wasn't cooked enough I even poke to show it hard when I mention it to the waitdress was told that's the way it comes in ask if I wanted another.... will that be the same she said proberly I can talk to the manager about refund …. it wasn't the refund I wanted just something edible I eat everything except for the pasta When I buy a lasagne ready meal it said cook for 45 mins n when I eat it its always soft to eat I always eat pasta at the woodlands never anything else & never as it been like that as I say I was disappointed My husband meal double bacon cheese burger was was alright he enjoyed ….by the way there was no refund I even tipped her ….fool me …. the ratings based on my meal
