We are wanting The Woods to be a day and night time destination for Chapel Allerton and beyond. A place that you are a part of. It is with this in mind we would like to know a little more about you and your wants and needs.
We are looking into running day and night events and we have our thoughts but would like to hear yours. Many of you may be familiar with “meet up’’ we would like to know why you’d want to meet up here at The Woods and how we can help to make that happen.
D...o you have a particular hobby? Do you have a skill you’d like to share or teach? Do you cycle, walk or forage? Do you have work skills that others might like to learn or be inspired by?
We are looking to run talks from inspirational artists and architects to gurus in the music industry, The Times best motivational speakers to local entrepreneurs and sports heroes.
Our new events space will be equipped to deliver day and night facilities. So please get involved and let us know if you’re a budding public speaker or someone who just wants to start a club.

We hope to, in the not too distant future, start a “meet up at the Woods’’ group for those who want a wee drink and a chat about possibilities.

Calling All Workers 💻
As some of you may be aware, when we re-open in early 2019 we will be opening from 9am every day, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and evening menus.
We are keen to get the community involved with this exciting new phase of the business and so with this in mind we would particularly love to hear from people who work in varied places, from home, bars, parks, cars, trains and beyond… or you just need somewhere to get away from your office.
... We would like to know what’s important to you and what makes you choose a particular venue along with any suggestions you may have.
We are sure you will all be pleased to hear we are getting our own dedicated super-fast broadband fitted during the refurbishment works!

What a gorgeous day for the glass front to our new roof garden to be installed! Work has now also started inside you will pleased to hear!

Although we are still closed, our roof top bar is coming along nicely... something to look forward to!

Last night a fire broke out in The Woods, unfortunately we will be closed whilst works are done to get us back up and running.

The stairs are in leading up to the new roof garden! We took the team up today to have a look and we are all getting very excited. Not long to go now...

Went to The Woods along with a group of girls last night and had a great night.We all had the Christmas menu and we're very happy with it.Both the food and the service were excellent,and along with the friendly atmosphere I would recommend it to anyone.

We love this bar so much, so much so we are here most weekends!.. The staff make us feel like part of the family. I love I can bring my dog and being a vegetarian they cater for my needs with 'the famous nut roast' tip top service from Richard and Rose and top authentic Italian pizza maker Angie. The best bar in chapel Allerton by far! 5*

This is my third time visiting the woods for some lovely pizza and great ale. The staff are great, special mension to rose who always gives me a warm welcome and is very friendly and morgan behind the bar who made a tasty bkoody mary for my girlfriend. I like the idea of letting dogs in as it creates a nice atmoshphere. If i had 3 thumbs, i would give this place 3 thumbs up.

The venue should be the place to be I'm Chapel Allerton and the team have made this happen. It caters for all occasions. Quiet drink of top notch beers, a big night listening to quality tunes, lots of theme nights, Bbqs, comedy nights, live music, it caters for all. Above all its an amazing local were people can meet up!

Thank you so much for providing the Chapel Allerton Festival Choir with rehearsal space at the last minute last night, it was really kind of you. I hadn't been in to The Woods, but I will now, what a stunning place, such a chilled feeling. I'll be back again soon!

Popped in with my dog for a glass of wine after work, friendly staff, great atmosphere and a place single people can go with no hassle or feel uncomfortable

My husband and I do the Chapel Allerton pub crawl every New Years day and decided to do the Woods last, the only disappointment was it was closing at 10. We had the best 30 minutes of the evening there, the ladies were so friendly and engaged with us. We truly think the Woods have got it right this time

I was looking for a local venue for my party and approached the team at the Woods. At first, I was disappointed that the weekend I wanted to book was fully booked. Well, the Friday and Saturday were but not the Sunday. The events coordinator Hayley suggested a Sunday afternoon party, as it had worked for other people. At first, I wasn't keen but I didn't have much choice because I wanted that weekend - and it was brilliant! For starters, my friends with children could come along with their kids, and they could drop in and out during the afternoon. My other friends could come along whenever and stay as long as they wanted to. And even though we spent quite a few hours drinking (and eating), we avoided hangovers because it wrapped up early evening. We got to go home and to bed at a reasonable time, meaning we were clear headed Monday morning. I now think that Sunday afternoon is the new Saturday night! Anyway, Hayley and her team were super helpful and made the whole party run smoothly. The area they set up for us on the first floor was lovely so we had our own little hang out. The pizza was awesome, very authentic, and everyone commented on how much they loved it. Altogether, I thought the venue was ideal for a party, the staff were so helpful and professional everything ran like clockwork, the food was excellent and there was a great range of drinks (I should know, I tried quite a few of them!) Thank you so much !!!!! Will be back soon for more pizza

I recently held my 50th birthday party here which included hosting a 9 piece band on a tiny stage .

The staff were really friendly and other than a slight hiccup on when we could have access to the room absolutely spot on.

They were really accommodating, suggested how much food I would need and gave some good tips on when to bring the food out( which was delicious) , if I would need a bar tab etc .

Definitely a great place to have a party.

I had my 30th birthday party at The Woods recently. It was absolutely fantastic. Ben was great at helping me organise things and our barman Dan was superb! It’s an excellent venue for a party and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to host a party.

Had my 30th party here last week. It was an amazing night! Thanks to all the staff. The Food was delicious. All my friends and family really enjoyed the venue! Very well organised, loved that I could play my own music!! Thanks for a fabulous evening!

Great pizzas, great beer and great service. Love the new 'decor' outside. And the fact that it is so dog friendly. Finally a place in Chapel Allerton, where dog owners don't have to sit outside in rain and snow.

Great Party venue. Fantastic organisation and communication from the lovely Ben at The Woods made the surprise birthday party for Rob and 50 of his friends a great success. The food was great as was the wine and beer. I would definitely recommend.

Food is delicious, atmosphere is always great. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Their knowledge of food and beer is excellent. As a beer lover they will always recommend something I will enjoy. Have been to two friends' parties here and both have be brilliant. Top marks all round.

Lovely place and staff. Such a shame about the ladies toilets as they always smell really bad and nothing ever seems to be done about. I once complained and a candle was placed in the ladies. Unfortunately this only masks the problem and the cause of the bad drain smell is never rectified.

Come to woods fairly regularly and we really enjoy it. Great music, pizza is lush, our dog loves the doggy treats and comfy cushioned benches and the staff are really friendly. Only criticism is I am slightly disabled and the downstairs disabled loo is always really dirty, smelly and busy because the ladies loos are up two flights of stairs and most women after several beers cannot be bothered going all the way upstairs. If the toilets didn't smell so bad I'd of given woods 5*.

Got salmon and avocado salad found approx 2 flakes of salmon and one piece 1/4 of inch! Staff very good appologised gave me an alternative of more salmon or deduct bill! I Asked for more salmon which was good! Toilets a disgrace told the female bar tender she appologised no cleaner today? Also not even a quarter of avacod!!

Went in for one after the bonfire at mustard pot, and because I was unable to use the toilet there I dashed to use the one in the woods before I ordered a drink with a friend.

A bartender in a flamingo shirt walked past to grab some stock and instantly shouted at us accusing me of trying to take drugs in the toilet; fair enough, if that was the case but it really wasn't!! I don't care for rude people and especially those who accuse me of something I wouldn't dream of doing! Great bar, but can't help but feel a bit put off because of this.
