Me and my children had a meal here on Monday evening. The kids find there is an amazing choice of food from the entire menu and my daughter enjoys the choice of vegetarian food. I myself had a classic mixed grill and I found everything was cooked to perfection, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Best meal we have had in ages. Compliments to the chefs.

Great place for food or drink Josh Rachel and staff amazing well worth a visit

User

Great for wheel chair users like me as there is usually plenty of space and the toilets aren't bad. The new menu and chef have made a massive difference, the food is actually really good for a lower to mid price range franchise menu. They have three or four ales on tap as well as three lagers and a selection of bottled beers. A wide selection of spirits (I like the good variety of gins) and I imagine a few wines of different prices although I haven't ever checked. It can get very busy and you may have a wait at the bar as the staff are multi tasking as waiting staff also, with this said they are always hard working, professional and polite and get to you as soon as they can. During a recent World Cup weekend when things were really busy we only had to wait 50 mins for food which is quite impressive considering the amount eating and drinking at the time, usually the waiting time is much shorter and if there is a delay the staff will let you know.

It may sound like I've been paid to write this but sadly no, I am biased though as I only live half a mile away and that is the right distance for anyone to wobble home. For me as a wheelchair user it's nice to feel welcomed and catered for in a nice environment so when that happens I like to let people know

Called in to have lunch with my granddaughter she had the meal deal for over 5’s and I the chicken with bacon and jack Daniel’s sauce both where good value for the money and the food was hot.

User

Went there Sunday but didn't fancy a Sunday roast so i asked for the chicken tikka curry which they didn't have. That is poor management this day and age running out of anything .Then my wife asked for chocolate brownie for desert and after 15 minutes of ordering she was told they didn't have any.its like faulty towers.

User

attended Monday night for a meal with my wife, as we do every fortnight. but not been in for a few weeks. service was very good. we both had surf & turf with extras which is normal. I cut a piece of steak & put it in my mouth & could tell straight away some thing was wrong, so I complained .told a member of staff that the steak was to me off, the lady came back & told me that the steak was fresh today, I was offered a replacement but declined. was not even offered a refund I asked for the steak back to take home ,in which the lady obliged spoke to several people who smelt it & said it was not right, will not be going there again.

To be honest if I could give zero stars I would. We came here as my mother had a lovely meal recently and was eager to come back.

Firstly the starters, we can’t complain as we all enjoyed these.

The mains. Well these were the issue. My grandad had a gammon which was like leather. My partner had a mixed grill. The sausages were black! Not just over cooked, totally black! Lovely! And my burger was completely overdone, burned and hard.

The waitress didn’t even bother to come check up on our food after we had been served. To be honest, I think embarrassment due to the fact the kitchen deemed that acceptable food to be served to paying customers.

Will i be returning? Not a chance.

Ripped settees,a drink station with a large carton of milk dumped on it.Empty flower tubs,no hanging baskets.Looked filthy.

One drink and we left!

User

Never been here before thought we'd give it a try...

I have peri peri lemon chicken and pepper skewers, completely over cooked were chewy, peppers there was 3 pieces over the 2 parts and they were completely soft and soggy... Missing onion rings too....

Husband had one of the burgers wasnover cooked also mostly black and tasteless... Bun was completely burnt...

No check back were made at all left half our food best part was the chips

Staff weren't really interested in being there. One lady was polite behind the bar.

Won't be going back again and won't be recommending.

User

Me and my family came here on Saturday and our meals were terrible, first I had to send my daughter's chicken nuggets back as they were rock hard ( totally over cooked) and my meal had part of it missing and then my husband's large fish and chips was no bigger than a kids meal and considering they do a smaller fish and chips I dread to see how small that would be! Just a dreadful family meal out.
