This place has it all! Location, great staff and affordable prices not to mention a great spa as well. You must visit it's a pleasure.

Nice quiet hotel for a weekday break! Nice facilities, very traditional/ old fashioned but charming.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Would recommend to get a massage here. Rooms are a bit smaller than expected and the place could see some refurbishment over the next time. After all a nice experience and a good place to stay to go hiking!

I thought with booking a 4 star hotel we were in for a nice time away, how wrong I was! the room was small, stuffy and not even clean! There was paint peeling in the bathroom and bits of wall actually falling off while I showered. The worst night I've ever had at a hotel and a massive waste of money

It's a big, beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms and two restaurants. It has many places in it where you can relax - it has even a pool and a sauna.

Great location, wonderful food, fantastic rooms. Only 4* because there are a few signs of wear and tear.

Love the Wordsworth! Great, attentiotive staff. We as a couple haven't stayed in the hotel yet, we go in and use their wonderful spa for just £10 for the whole day, we love it! It's usually very quiet and always clean, there are towels to rent out if you don't have your own, there are lockers which are £1 to keep your stuff safe and dry. The suana is wonderful, pool is big and jacuzzi very bubbly! Free parking too, great day out, we go sit in the bar/lounge for a spot of lunch before heading back for a sweat in the suana and a swim.

The Wordsworth is a favourite outfit ours because the spa is only £10 for the day (granting access to the sauna, pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is situated on the north edge of Grasmere and affords nice views up the hills. The staff are very friendly and the food is nice.

Stayed here as a family weekend for a Fri/Sat in mid February with elderly parents and two young children (8 and 5). The ambiance and relaxed feel of the hotel was wonderful; not too stuffy that you daren't put your cutlery on your plate for fear of offending the other guests, but subtly elegant enough to feel that a jacket was the right attire for evening meals. The rooms were warm, very well furnished, very quiet and with extremely comfortable beds. The food was excellent and blended local produce well to offer a range of dishes to suit our varied preferences! The most pleasing element of the hotel was the staff. Every question was met with a cheery 'Yes!' and there was sufficient relaxed banter to feel at ease from the start. Well done to Millie (Manager) and the whole team. It's a place we'd like to return to again soon!
