Some photos from yesterday’s launch of the Pankhurst-Fawcett Scorecard. Hosted at Greater Manchester Chamber we networked on the move as we walked to the iconic statue in St Peters Square of #EmmelinePankhurst
The scorecard is developed with a range of partners and organisations to co-ordinate mutual accountability on #genderequality
... #GM4Women2028 is a coalition dedicated to advancing the gender equality agenda across #GreaterManchester a region that has flown the flag for women’s rights #DeedsNotWords
A great day with amazing women.

Manchester Metropolitan University visiting Professor Dr Helen Pankhurst MBE has rallied multiple groups to form the GM4Women Scorecard.
Up to the Centenary of all women winning the vote in 2028 we’ll push for change to key gender statistics in Greater Manchester and the rest of the country. The first half of the event is at Greater Manchester Chamber facilitated by Caroline Pankhurst, Eve Holt, Sharon Amesu to name a few.
... Carol Ann Whitehead is proud to be asked to say a few words at the statue of Emmeline Pankhurst today.
The offer of using a megaphone was too hard to resist for her! üíúüíö

Today I’ve taken her to be interviewed by Gulnaz Brennan for 100 Women, 100 stories book. So glad she can share her story in her own words.

I don’t know about you but I do love Google Doodles, they’re daily doses of knowledge.
Talking about ‘daily doses’ that leads me nicely to today’s - Sake Dean Mahomed, born 1751, was an #AngloIndian traveller, #surgeon and #entrepreneur who was one of the most notable early non-European #immigrants to the Western World.
Known as ‘Dr Brighton’ he introduced Indian cuisine and shampoo baths to Europe, where he offered therapeutic massage. He was also the first Indian to publis...h a book in English. Personally I’m a bit of a fan.
Read more about Sake Dean https://lnkd.in/djQtaFu
So next time you’re popping to your Google search page to verify something, stop and take a minute take note of who or what is featured. You never know, that new found knowledge might just give you the first prize in the pub quiz!
