The programme of events has been disappointing over last few years compared to previous excellent plays, dramas and artists. February half term was bland and yet again was unable to book our usual two performances in that week.

my 3 stars are due to the paying machine not acepting cards as they were coming back with error messages (all of the machines) so i was constrained to pay by coins which is a pain particularly if one has to pay £7 . i had to scramble back to find coins and topup the time . not enjoyable particularly when one is on a holiday with family. Location is super close to lake, cafe, and gardens nearby. everything to keep the family entertained

Attended Wednesday 2nd August in party of six, two ladies of whom where in wheelchairs. We were late having got lost in the rain, theatre staff were amazingly helpful and attentive, particularly Beckie ( Front of house) and her colleague who assisted us and helped us make our seats. Thankyou and left a lasting impression. Well done!!! Great production of Handbagged.

Theatre has amazing range of lays and petformances. The cafe downstairs is absolutely brilliant. It has just been extended and offers a whole range of different foods now

Great Sunday morning 'Earthy Eggs' in a café with a lovely view over the lake

Lovely theatre, saw William Wordsworth on opening night and found it very entertaining. All the staff were very helpful from earlier in the day when we bought tickets to the seat usher and merchants. The choice of snacks, beers and delicious ice cream during intermission were top-notch.

Excellent venue with lovely views. Cafe is friendly and well stocked. I came here for a creative event and the facilities and staff were well organised.

I've been here several times to see plays and the quality is always excellent, with that intimate feeling only possible in a small theatre. The coffee, cakes and ice-cream are delicious and I always feel that making the journey here - no matter what play on - is well worth the effort! Another great point is that this theatre offers subsidised relaxed performances in order to make the theatre more widely available to people such as those with learning disabilities and their carers.
