As animal lovers we have a passion for dogs and have been inspired to start up thebarkinn-doggydaycare, home-boarding, dog walking and pet sitting business which is based in Thorpe St Andrew Norwich Norfolk.

We have grown up with dogs and animals all our lives and have a great bond with them.

Here at thebarkinn-doggydaycare we welcome dogs into our family home for a lovely stay whether just for the day or a long holiday.

We offer a home from home stay, where your dog will have the run of the home with no kennels.

We are licensed with Broadland District council , insured and police checked.

At thebarkinn-doggydaycare whether you’re just looking to keep your dog happy and active during the day while you’re at work or you just want your dog to integrate and mix with other dogs, we give your dog the opportunity to enjoy play time, make friends and relax.

We tailor our overnight boarding around you and your dog’s specific requirements giving you the peace of mind you need. We are here to help reduce your dog’s anxiety by providing a place they come to know as a second home. .

We have air conditioned rooms for those hot days that dogs can suffer with.

Here at thebarkinn-doggydaycare we understand that some animals dislike change and they prefer to remain at home, we provide a live-in pet sitting service to care for your pets along with your home this gives you the peace of mind that they will stay relaxed and calm whilst you are away.

Dog walking available for group dog walks or on a 1-1 basis. Our walks are a minimum of 1 hour.

We have owned ourselves Newfoundlands, English bulldogs as well as our current French bulldogs who are very friendly, affectionate and welcoming so we have first hand knowledge and are fully aware of the health issues that certain breeds suffer with.

We welcome dogs of all ages but he or she must be neutered or spayed. (except puppies or juniors who must be neutered at the appropriate age)

All vaccinations must be up to date including kennel cough, de-worming and de-fleaing and you will need to provide proof with a vaccination card.

Before placing your dog with other dogs in our care, they will come for an initial free trail and assessment. We make sure that your dog has the social skills to interact safely so that all dogs in our care feel confident and secure and this will give your dog an opportunity to meet our host dogs. Unfortunately not all dogs are suitable to join our doggy day care and home-boarding service to maintain a safe environment we can’t accommodate dogs that are aggressive towards other dogs or humans. During the initial free trail we will have a meet and greet with you, and your pet, complete paperwork and take on board any concerns you have or any needs your animal has to make sure we know how to care for them completely.
