Community Services for Adults with Learning Disability

thebase2be is a community based day service that support adults with learning and physical disabilities to access their local facilities such as sport and leisure, shopping, public transport and developing friendships. We support our clients to further develop their life skills in cooking, keeping safe, monetary skills and volunteering /paid work opportunities and moving on into supported living accommodation. thebase2be is located at Acron House Spencer St, Hinckley, Leics LE10 1RB, offering a high quality environment with pool table, table tennis, TV, and game consoles plus a computer area with internet access. We also offer Wii ‘exercise keep fit sessions’, football training session and much more to help you keep fit and have a fun time. Outside there is a large court yard with a setting area.
We are central to all local amenities such as public transport, bus /rail routes, leisure centre, library, café’s, local shops, and pubs, voluntary, private, and religious groups.
The aim of thebase2be is in building community links in order to provide a variety of projects that both meet our clients’ needs and interests. We have access to an allotment where we are involved in developing the land and growing our own produce for our cook and eat sessions.
