My mum was once a child. Innocent to the world and what it was going to throw at her. She grew into a woman and dealt with the ups and downs and dealt with life’s hand in the way she felt was necessary. Now as a grandmother of 6 and a new fire in her stomach my mum starts a new chapter in her life. Somewhere inside her she has to find the courage to take on these new challenges. I can see her now putting on a brave and happy face to hide how much fear and apprehension is runn...ing through her mind.
With determination and the feeling of obligation to do well for her grandchildren she’ll step into the unknown today and push her mind and body on to a whole new playing field. I know this because as a parent we never stop caring, never stop trying and make the biggest decisions for loved ones. Parents try to find the mental, physical and emotional strength everyday to wake up and continue. I know there are times you’re happy mum... I know there are times you’re sad and I know the times you’re down and exhausted. BUT today’s a happy day. One with new challenges and one that alters the path of your journey.
