Had a fab meal tonight,6 of us all had different meals,the half rack of ribs was unreal,very tasty lots to go at,staff was very friendly,chef came out to see if the food was ok a couple of times,will be back again,very nice.

Fantastic buffet "chips n dips" provided for my daughters football team race night. Trevor and team were friendly, helpful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Wouldn't hesitate to arrange another function or attend one at Thirsty Flame. Looking forward to our prize Sunday Lunch kindly donated by Trevor! Thank you again for a great night �

Absolutely fantastic place to eat. My daughter has coeliac disease which means she eats gluten free. The chef was absolutely amazing came out and sat with me offered me alternatives for my daughter. Highly recommend a visit to anyone. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. Brilliant thank you all so much x

A group of 15 of us just had Christmas Dinner, was lovely, plenty of veg & gravy to go round& the crackling on the pork was delish. Would highly recommend.

1st time we have been here for lunch and from walking into the pub the staff were friendly, helpful and professional!

I had Sunday roast which was gorgeous and couldn't manage to eat it all.

Darren and Isabelle had steak pie and it was devoured.

Highly recommend this pub. Cheers guys keep up the good work

First time visiting yesterday and the all in all impression of the visit was an Ok.

Staff seemed more interested in their conversations to deal with customer. Our all visit felt like we it was an inconvience for us to be there which made the visit uncomfortable. We left before evening having the after that we paid for as there was no one around to deal with us.

Had my baby shower in November was told i could have the full function room then 2 weeks before my event was told i could only have half of the function room , after already inviting a-lot of people , me and my partner always told the pub we would have buffet for 20 people but 30/40 people would be there, on the day it was cramped guest couldn’t sit down , my guests where rudely told to move if they went in to the over side of the function room even though they had brought drinks ,guest had to leave early as there was no space. the buffet food was nice and it was just one of the staff who was rude and said inappropriate comments to us next time she says something i will be having words with her and complaining , i would not use again unless i had in writing i could use the whole room , ruined my event be squashed in and the rude waitress .

Thought we’d give it a try for Sunday lunch, won’t be returning anytime soon, it comes to something when the child’s portion is bigger than the adults, no sign of mashed,1 small piece of broccoli and a couple of carrots to go with the 1 slice of meat! Nothing had any taste either. The beef was like shoe leather! It was all cold! If you would like a nice Sunday lunch that’s an adult portion and hot don’t come here. Also didn’t have enough wine �

The food was lovely but the staff were rude and very unprofessional, arrived at 5.45pm for an evening of mediumship with Linda Shephard, asked which room it was going to be in and told the wrong room, by the time we realised that we had been misinformed the correct room was filled beyond capacity, i spoke to the gentleman who I believe was the manager and he just laughed in my face, there was a group of people in the other side who kept being asked to keep the noise down because of the event that was on but they only proceeded to shout f*** off... nothing was done by the staff or management to control this... nine of us attended on tue 30th of may for this event but sad to say that we will never go here again which is a shame because it is our local...... very poor service !!!!!!
