Just a quick note to remind our lovely guests that we are closed this evening at the Seafood & Grill as we have our Australian Wine & Dine Event.
We'll be back as normal tomorrow with lunch from 12-2.30pm and dinner from 6-9pm.

We have had a table become available for our sold out Australian Wine Night tomorrow! If you would like to join us for a night of great wines and delicious food then give us a call. Places are £60 a head and include a glass of wine on arrival, a four course taster menu and wines expertly paired by Daniel O'Keefe of HDN Wines for each course. Our Fish of the Day today is this wonderful hake with crab, cauliflower, curry oil, grape, sweetcorn and a cauliflower velouté. It smells absolutely amazing!

We were delighted that 8 out of 10 Cats and all round comedic legend Jimmy Carr popped in for dinner whilst on tour this weekend! Our head chef Chris looks a bit starstruck don’t you think? The team said he was a genuinely funny, nice guy so hopefully we’ll see him next time he’s in the area!

What better than wine tasting at 10am on a Friday! It was a great start to the day for our team as we spent the morning with Daniel of HDN Wines learning about our wine list and which of our selection goes well with our à la carte dishes.

Went to Thomas Carr Seafood and Grill for a wine tasting and 4 course tasting meal. The Chilean wine was exceptional with the vineyard owner telling us all about each wine. We then tasted each wine with a food course. All the food was sublime. A superb evening was had by all. Cannot wait for another evening.

We have just enjoyed a delicious lunch at Thomas Carr's new venture , The Seafood & Grill, in Ilfracombe.

On a miserable day it was a joy to arrive to such a warm welcome, in this delightful new restaurant , the combination of superb food and charming staff brightened up the day.

The town can be rightfully proud of Thomas Carr's new establishment.

We had friends down for the weekend so we took them to Thomas Carr seafood and grill,this was our first time also.I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic! All four of us chose differently and all four of us loved every single course, we could not have faulted it.The restaurant itself is set in a beautiful building and had a great atmosphere. I should also mention not only is the food brilliant but so are the cocktails,and Josh is really knowledgeable about gin !

Looking forward to returning very soon.

Unbelievably Great Food and Very Good Prices! Maria and I had the opportunity to taste some of what is to come at Ilfracombe's New Restaurant... The decor is fun and eclectic and a great place to have friends stop and enjoy a wonderful cocktail or other beverage of your choice, and the food has brought the level of culinary excellence up significantly on the high street of Ilfracombe. As they continue to expand into the wonderful decor of this multi-story restaurant it will only continue to exceed most, if not all, peoples expectations! We had a three (3) course choice from the taster menu and frankly any choice would have been superb. I have personally travelled all over the world in almost all continents and frankly their Burger is one (1) of the top five (5) burgers I have had anywhere in the world! The combination of flavor and perfect execution and presentation is what you expect from a Five (5) Star Restaurant but at Three (3) Star Prices! Just what Ilfracombe needs just before the tourists season... I would highly recommend you attend this fabulous location on Ilfracombe's High Street and be ready for an indulgence of culinary excellence this location has to offer! Great Job to all the staff, chef and front of house that has pulled off an exquisite evening to remember... Don't miss your chance!

Only dropped in to have a drink and once we saw and smelled the food we had to try. Only had prawns and mussels but they were wonderful. My daughter said the mussels were the best she has ever had. Will definatly be returning soon. The cocktails were also great.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal here, could not fault it. We then went on to sample the cocktail menu and the mojitos amazing

I have been a fan of the food at the Olive Room for a number of years now, so much so I have encouraged all our friends to visit too. Such great restaurants need local support and visiting you will not be disappointed! Friendly atmosphere and the food is the star of the show!

Had an amazing lunch at Thomas Carr Seafood and Grill a couple of days ago. The mushroom soup was so smooth and creamy with a great taste and accompanied by the best of breads, brown and white. The bread was so soft with a lovely crispy crust. The main course of Arancini in cauliflower veloute and walnut was equally delightful as was the apple and plum crumble for desert. I would highly recommend eating here.

Had a lovely roast for Mothering Sunday. Place looks great, amazing transformation. Look forward to taking the wife for cocktails, and using the new massive beer garden in the summer. Well done guys

Gorgeous establishment, amazingly friendly and helpful staff (thank you josh and helen) superb food (excellent chef chris and team) and all finsihed with rocking music from local musician.

Fabulous food, really enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the skate. We finished our meal with cocktails in the courtyard, the Espresso Martinis were the nicest we’ve had. Staff were friendly and helpful, would certainly recommend it and look forward to returning next time we’re visiting Ilfracombe 😊
