Stayed at this place twice now. Very impressed they still have a very clean and warm shower/toilet block. Has a very impressive farm shop across the road which has a restaurant as well as sells fantastic pre-packed meals (require cooking, packed on the premises) and delicious pies, pasties, cakes made on the premises apart from a great selection of other stuff. In the opposite direction, there is absolutely the best pub I have been to (booking recommended). I wouldn't say this camp site is child friendly, in fact, apart from our children I didn't see any others but it doesn't mean you can't camp with children there, just no child play ground, family bathroom or baby change. Makes a great camp site for couples though. I would certainly come back and would definitely recommend it. Dog friendly. Has a separate dog exercise area.

Wow... The most spotlessly clean toilet/shower block i have actually seen on the campsites we have been to. Not to mention the under floor heating. Amazing touches to caravan holidays.
Excellent wifi, kept the kids quiet for an hour whilst keeping sheltered from the rain.
A lovely grassed area for dog walking.
A beautifully located campsite.
We will definitely be back, hopefully we wont have the wind and rain joining us next time.
A memorable site for the all the right reasons

I would like to say that Thornbrook Barn is special . I cannot think of any way it could be better, other than the owners letting you stay for nothing. Joking apart it's a fabulous site in a fabulous area with fabulous owners. The toilet block has underfloor heating and is spotless, and even looks nice at night with the lighting outside it. There is a dedicated doggy walk area which is accessible just near to the toilets. Thornbrook sets the standards with WiFi, it is better than we get at home, really fast and never drops out, as some other sites do. Bring a torch with you as there is little lighting on the site, just a beautiful blanket of darkness allowing the stars to be seen in all their glory. It's just so peaceful and quiet. This is our first visit - of many we hope. If only all sites were like this one, we would be spoilt for choice.

We really enjoyed our time here in July. The site is immaculate and was very quiet. Lovely warm new shower blocks and a good fenced in dog walking field. Great base for exploring the area. So nice we are booked in again! Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Oh and wifi was excellent!

Really nice site. Immaculate and clean. Superb showers and loos with all hard standing pitches. Looks like quite a few permanent touring caravans there but still places for moving tourers like ours. 5 mins from Ingleton by car and good location for all local sites. Not a family site with no ball game rules etc.

WOW WOW WOW!!! What a find.
Very spacious pitches, well cared for grounds. The toilet/shower block are the best we have seen. Undercover pot wash area , information room. All looks brand new.
Owners are very friendly.
The views from the site are amazing.
The site was very quiet apart from the birds and the sound of the sheep in nearby fields. A little road noise was heard but that didn't spoil anything.
We will definitely return next year, already recommended to others.

Just returned two days ago from this lovely caravan site, it's a a little gem. Having spent four nights there it just wasn't long enough, as much as I love my back garden the view isn't quite the same as eating tea in my caravan overlooking the peaceful view at Thornbrook Barn.Thoroughly enjoyed watching the lamb's which were quite entertaining at times. The owners are lovely, helpful and friendly and keep their site immaculate and well cared for. Shower/toilet block is spotlessly clean, although it's a pity some caravan users don't know how to use a toilet brush which is clearly placed next to each loo!! (Not just here but at most sites we have visited). The site is very peaceful, quiet and relaxing, but within easy reach of plenty places of interest in the surrounding area. Ingleton Village is within ten to fifteen minutes walking distance which is also the start of the Waterfalls trail, well worth a visit if you enjoy a bit of exercise. We don't usually visit the same place twice but would make an exception to visit Thornbrook again, being such a pleasant site and within easy commuting distance from our home in Newcastle. Thank you Alan and Sandra for an enjoyable stay.

It's the second time we've used this site first time was when they were developing it, what a lovely site and nice people who own it, the washroom facilities are perfect, clean, warm and bright, the pitches are well spaced, it's a nice walk into Ingleton with nice pubs etc, you can catch the bus nearby to Lancaster which is a nice historic place to visit, we will return. Thank you for providing a nice site it's a credit to you.

For us, (2 oldies in a motorhome), this was a perfect site. Excellent facilities, great pitch, no issues whatsoever. Walking distance from Ingleton and other options plus first class farm shop with café almost on the door step.
I wonder if they could create a space for children to play but that wasn't an issue for us

Really nice site but no laundry or wifi.
Would still recommend
