Thorngrove Garden Centre

Thorngrove Garden Centre was established in 1968 and enables disabled people to work under guidance to develop their horticultural skills.

Thorngrove is a not-for-profit organisation that provides services for the disabled in the Gillingham area of Dorset and produces quality plants all year round.

Staff and volunteers are dedicated to providing a service for the disabled here in the community of Gillingham and surrounding villages. We have many service users who work at the nursery, doing jobs ranging from general horticultural work, to creating quality carpentry products for outdoor use. We also provide a means for groups to take part in various activities throughout the year such as sports activities like football and skittles to social clubs and horse riding.

You can see us at the shows in the area such as the Bath and West Show and the Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show in August where we sell our beautiful plants.

Our Garden Centre here in Gillingham is open 7 days a week. We have a huge selection of plants. Bedding throughout the year, herbaceous and some quality shrubs and trees including fruits and vegetables.
