Went yesterday was made to feel extremely welcome... fantastic staff and lovely clean welcoming pub.... had a bar snack and the food was fantastic... very filling and was well worth the money... Will definitely be back and soon x

We have just had a joint christening here on Easter Sunday and Gav and Jamie were so helpful when we were going through all the details for the day.

The venue is beautiful, they've done an amazing job on the refurb and all our guests said the same.

The food we had was lovely and everyone had a great day.

Would highly recommend and would definitely use again in the future.

We had had our wedding reception here on Saturday 4th July 2015. What can I say about them. It was absolutely fantastic. The owners and staff was brilliant they couldn't do enough for us and our guest. But we did keep them busy all night with the numbers they catered for. The food was amazing. And went down extremely well with everyone. Literally there wasn't even a crump left. The venue had recently been refurbished and look fantastic. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. All ours guest loved it and everyone commented on how nice it was. I will definitely recommend the Thornton arms to anyone and everyone. And will definitely be using them again in the near future.

The place to be... A real locals pub with a great atmosphere. Prices are right and staff are great...

The after party of my grandsons christening was held here it was one of the best days,everything went great the children had their hot buffet served first keeping them happy then a hot buffet for the adults,food was fantastic and plenty of it,really recommend the Thornton Arms for your party venue ,my dons 21st next ­¤śā­¤æŹ­¤æŹ

The Thornton arms was the chosen Venue for my sons Christening. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. From the kiddies food to the BBQ for the adults was amazing. Such a lovely atmosphere and everyone had an amazing time. Thank you so much to Jamie and all the staff for giving us a day we will not forget ’┐Į xxx

Thank you to all the staff for their amazing work last night at our leaving party. They worked tirelessly to keep everyone watered. We had an amazing night and so glad we had our party at the Thornton Arms.

Not to many pubs around these days that as soon as you set foot over the threshold you are made to feel completely welcome and comfortable, total strangers biding you a good morning/afternoon. All the staff are professional and polite. Always a pleasure to call in for a warm welcome and nice pint and vino. Thanks.

My children decided to take me here to the Thorton Arms for Mothers Day early evening meal. There were 4 adults an infant and a 2 month old baby. We were booked in for 4pm and decided to go a little earlier and have a few drinks before our meal. Our table was all ready for us and the staff was fantasic. There was a special menu for mothers day and the normal menu too. The place itself is lovely, the decor fits perfectly. Its light and airey. The views in the beer garden on this lovely sunny day was fantastic. So relaxing for mothers day. The Staff went above and beyond what was expected. The meals were great and dessert were fab. Perfection all round!!

Had the pleasure of holding my daughters 21 st here on the 10th March , fabulous service from all the staff ,buffet was immense and good value . Would not hesitate to recommend , we all had a great time many thanks from the Fieldens x

Fabulous place to go and eat, meet friends etc there is always a warm atmosphere with very friendly staff, love the place also I can take my little dog George Arthur in with me

Delicious home made food. Had the creamy garlic mushrooms with ciabatta bread, mouthwatering. Followed by a chicken breast burger with bacon & cheese with hot French fries, Side salad & creamy coleslaw. Very filling & tasty.

Called in today first time for lunch...The meal was excellent we had chilli and rice which had a kick to it, usually get a bland chilli in other pubs but at Thornton Arms you get a kick not a bad one a really pleasant one, good portions really good value for money. We also had mixed fruit crumble and custard a really good portion ....will definitely return. Staff are very pleasant and make you feel at ease a pleasure to visit

Best Cheese and Onion pie ever !!! Great draft beers on tap and very nice reasonably priced bottles of wine can't ask for more !!

A small party of us stopped by to have a quick bite to eat and a drink after having a day out with the children. We ended up staying considerably longer, had a wonderful meal and several drinks! Excellent food and service, will gladly go again! ’┐Į
