In aid of last year's resounding success we invite everyone to join us for ‘The Wirral Bazaar 2018’, held at Thornton Manor on Tuesday 6th, and Wednesday 7th November. The Wirral Bazaar is a perfect start to Christmas, all under one roof ! This magical event includes an exciting collection of over 60 hand-picked stalls offering a wonderful variety of unique and beautifully presented Christmas gifts. Admission is £4, and all proceeds raised will go directly to North West Cancer Research. We are looking forward to seeing you there !

What can I say?! Absolutely tremendous!! We just had our wedding here in the manor house on 13.4.18 and it was perfect! The team of staff are so friendly, attentive and incredibly hard working and make you feel so special. A special thanks to Dougie who took care of us the most.

What a lovely mothers day was spent at the beautiful Thornton Manor having afternoon tea in the music room.Di & Philip made everyone feel very welcome into there stunning home.Singer Lola was just fantastic.it was like stepping back in time. Perfect day can't wait till next year to experience it all again Simply Wonderful.

Went for Gary Barlow book signing here on 02.10.18. Staff were well organised and the layout and facilities for over 1000 people were fantastic. A beautiful place and a beautiful venue.

We went to our nephews wedding 🎩 it was amazing from the minute we arrived we were looked after the whole day just went so smoothly food drink and entertainment was fabulous and all the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble wood defiantly recommend to others as it was the best day ever and would go back 💝xxx

We had our wedding reception at Thornton Manor on 17th March 2018 in the Manor House . Everything was PERFECT. From the moment we arrived at the manor we were made to feel so special and at ease. All of the staff there couldn’t do enough for us and our guests. The venue is so so beautiful, It was a cold day, but this didn’t matter as all of the gorgeous fires in the house were lit for us on arrival, there was even a fire right behind the top table! �

All of our guests have commented on how incredible the venue was. The bar service was impeccable and the food was gorgeous! The rooms are also lovely, each room is completely different and fit in perfectly with the venue. The bathrooms are modern and clean, and the beds are very comfortable.

It was the best day of our lives and we are SO GLAD we chose Thornton Manor, I don’t think it would have been even nearly the same anywhere else. The venue is absolutely perfect for a wedding - summer or winter, rain or shine.

We had our wedding in the Lakeside marquee end of May & it was just a perfect day! The staff looked after us right from booking to the day itself, everything was just amazing, no stress for us at all!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to host our wedding (28th April 2018). Staff were bending over backwards, keeping us informed of what was going on and when. They even had some suggestions of things that could be changed. I was planning on doing my bouquet throw before the cake cutting, but they suggested on the day it was better to do it after, which worked well.



Huge thank you to Paul who was managing on the day. He was just amazing, and kept the whole thing running smoothly.



Breakfast the next day was lovely. All the guests adored the venue. Thanks everyone at Thornton Manor!

Not just a wonderful wedding venue .. the best place to see Father Christmas! In thick snow on Sunday 10th December 2017, we felt we had been transported to Lapland, as we all enjoyed a wonderful, Christmas experience that lasted over 2 hours. Every moment was magical .. from receiving personilsed bells informing the children they were on the good list, listening to a Christmas story read by Father Christmas round the fire in the romantic drawing room in the Manor, to running round the fabulous grounds in search for Father Christmas only to find treasure on the way, toasting marshmallows, making original tree decorations, Christmas cards and icing cookies. A magical day had by all. Wonderful xxxxx

My partner and i attended a wedding fayre here over the weekend as a bride & groom & as a potential supplier for our new business for Thornton Manor. Its a fantastic venue & very picturesque. It has a choice of different venues to choose from within the Manor including the Manor house, waterside pavilion, lakeside marquee & the walled garden marquee. Which are all amazing!! My friend got married at the waterside pavilion in October and her wedding from start to finish was out of this world!! Absolutely stunning so i would certainly highly recommend Thornton Manor.

My husband and I attended a wedding in the marquee at Thornton Manor. The room was stunning, the grounds were beautiful, the staff were friendly and the service was brilliant catering for 600 people. I would definitely recommend this for a wedding venue.

Me and my husband got married last weekend at the Waterside and it was perfect. They decorated it beautifully and ypur staff were amazing! Especially Johnny and Joanne.

Just Spent Mothers Day Afternoon Tea here at the Manor. March 11th 2018. The whole event was amazing. From as soon as we entered the Manor we where greeted by very welcoming staff. A beautiful tree was set up in the foyer with a table plan alongside beautiful table flowers and a warm welcoming fire burning away. Philip and Diane (the owners greated as many guests as possible which was a lovely touch too).

The room we spent afternoon tea was spectacular. Tables set fit for a wedding venue. With name places set up also. Another lovely gesture as well as a menu for Mothers Day Cocktails.

The Beautiful Entertainer Lola La More. introduced herself to every table and then sang to her hearts content. So glamourous and entertaining. She had the whole room filled with love and laughter. My mum is 87 my self and two other friends took there mum's too also in there 80's. They said it was there best mother's day EVER. Thank you. Will be back Mothers Day 2019.

Fantastic day for our daughter Hollies wedding to Mike. On the 21st April 2018. Staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you. Add this to the stunning house and wonderful Gardens. Catering by Barrett’s was first class. All in all a wonderful experience.

5 stars doesn't do this perfect venue justice. We fell in love with the manor on our first viewing and it will have a special place in our hearts forever. We were due to get wed in September 2016 but my other half fell ill and was diagnosed with leukaemia the week before we were due to get married. The staff at the manor could not have done any more for us. Philip and Dianne did anything and everything to help us out, and on the same date but a year later (after a full recovery from illness) we finally got our dream day at our dream venue. Dougie was superb and all the staff and wedding co ordinators were perfect from the start. Our wedding day was a dream. We are so grateful to everybody and we will definitely be back to visit soon x

Riverside marquee wedding. 20/04/18 stunning location enhanced by the hottest sunniest day this year. Was wonderful and the staff helpful without being overly fussing. Recommend it as a wedding venue.

Absolutely beautiful place and the staff are fab. Nothing is too much trouble. The only reason they didn't have a five star was because the food isn't excellent and the rooms are basic. For the price I was expecting a lot more. No TV or Wi-Fi. Breakfast was self service, which for £180 a room per night and that was with a discount, I should have been a little bit more spoilt. X
