This is the official Facebook page for Thrapston Fire Station, located in Northamptonshire.

Thrapston Fire Station is a Retained Duty System (RDS) crewed station meaning our Firefighters are paid volunteers who do the same job Wholetime Duty System (WDS) firefighters, however instead of being based at a fire station they are 'on-call' from work (employer's consent required) and /or at home.

Thrapston Fire Station currently has: 1 x Scania Pumping Appliance and 1 x Toyota Hilux Initial Intervention Vehicle (IIV)

We drill every Wednesday night 18: 30-21: 30 and you are welcome to come along to ask us questions and see what RDS firefighters do in Thrapston.
