Three Shires Inn

Cosy pub, a great place to stop after a long walk. We didn't order food but were jealous of the plates we saw being served.

Typical Lakeland pub and prices.popped in before venturing to the Cathedral Cavern.Heartly recommend the steak burger

Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable with great view. Food nice, only detraction: one of the days the eggs were a little underdone for my preference, though that did seem to be the exception.

Such a cute inn. Very helpful and friendly staff and guests. Great, comfortable, clean rooms and bathrooms. Water gets hot. Great breakfast. Quiet location. I didn't see a lift, and the stairs were winding.

Lovely little Inn, friendly staff, free parking. Breakfast was lovely and was of a decent variety. The rooms were of a pretty high standard a were very clean. The inn is in a very good location too. Lots of good hiking. Highly reccomended if you are in the area.

This is a cosy inn with friendly owners and a nice fire place in lounge. The WiFi and parking are free. Sadly, there was no Wifi signal in the bedroom and no phone signal anywhere on premesis, therefore, mobile data was not an option.

Lovely little pub. Offering lodging. Food.. And a selection of real ales. I have to say it's a tad on the expensive side. I get it's a walkers and tourist bar but their is a sense of your being taken advantage of price wise.
There are lots of lovely walks doable from here. It's an ideal start point when aiming for the old Mines and the cathedral. Don't forget torches.. Over all the bar is warm and friendly. Plenty of outside seating. Good food served but again a tad over priced.
That's my only criticism of the place. Perhaps if prices where lower folk would spend more. It's not London..

Delicious food, good portion sizes. Especially good big chips. Good selection of beers.
