Thrifty Car And Van Rental Heathrow Airport

Racist. Offered us a upgrade as the BMW we booked was not available. Then the manager said no u can't have the upgrade car. Take a red jeep instead! 10 mins later our car turned up by another customer. Then an American white couple came in. Had the same problem as they also booked the BMW. However they were offered the free upgrade also. But the manager didn't say no to them.

Terrible. Shuttle bus is unreliable, I spent more than 30 minutes waiting in the cold. They didn’t have the car i booked or any in the same class (no apologies btw, not sure what the point of booking was really since it didn’t speed the process up at all), the attitude and approach to service is way worse than any other car hire I ever used.
I guess you get what you pay for... but they aren’t that cheap, there are competitive options with better service. I won’t use them again.

We had to wait 45 minutes in the cold for the shuttle at Terminal 5.We then had to give many useless personal information at the time ofcheck in including bank statements;also we had to call our credit card because they did not believe that our insurance was included. Manager on duty today 8 November was rude and dismissive. Run away and examine who wrote the positive reviews written for this unfriendly unprofessional and unwelcoming business.......

All the staff at Heathrow are always very friendly and helpful. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone! Thank you to Khurrum (Branch Manager) and Trevor (Assistant Branch Manager) for providing a proffesional, caring and efficient service.. as well as leading a brilliant team!

Took a bit of time to get to their office as their shuttle is every 30mins and we just missed one but overall the service at Heathrow was great! Sanjay helped us out allot and gave us an upgrade in car to a BMW330e great car. Gatwick team were amazing with the delivery back of the car also. No issues and I had double booked the car by accident and they processed the refund within a week! Great value for money, amazing car and great customer service!

I wish I could give a zero star. We had to stay for pickup service in Heathrow terminal 5 for over 1 hour in a cold whether with my pregnant wife. The shuttle service came very very late and out of schedule. Later, I received a parking fine ticket from Thrifty. The fine was not settled and I had to pay to parking company directly but Thrifty already charged me £42 administration fee for an unsettled parking fine. The customer service took a week to reply me and mention that £42 was nit for parking fine settlement but admin fee. Totally unhappy with their service.

My own car had broken down on the M4, I'd spent an hour waiting in the cold by the side of the motorway for the AA, and it was dawning on me that I would have to take a train (or bus replacement service) to work early on Sunday morning. I called Enterprise who reserved a car for me, but an hour later they called back to say there were now no cars available. And then came Thrifty. From start to finish the guys at Thrifty were fantastic. Easy to book and even easier to collect the car. The team at the Sheraton office offer the best customer service I've come across in a long while. I will certainly be using them again and will be recommending to all my friends and family. You won't go wrong with Thrifty.

Good prices. Cars are good. Shuttle service from Heathrow runs on a 30-40 minutes schedule so leave plenty of time.

This was the worst treatment in 20 years of rental experience. You should be aware that they do not guarantee a shuttle ride to the airport. Despite our arrival prior to their opening at 7 a.m., the shuttle departed without us, with the next shuttle scheduled too late for us to make our flight. Upon request to the desk that they call an extra shuttle, we were showed where to get a 15 pound taxi ride to the airport - our only option. One star is far too generous.

Car was good but they made a concerted effort to extort money out of me at the end of the rental by claiming I scratched the car and delivered it back late. They had no grounds for either claim but it took 10 to 15 mins of arguing before they backed down. It seemed evident they saw car return as a source of additional revenue.

Absolutely awful. Tire damage scam. Same as other reviewers. Cost me > 200 GBP. Take detailed photos of all tires and rims, prior to leaving rental premises. Or better yet, rent from a reputable car hire establishment that doesn't shill from an off prem hotel.
