Rented from these guys quite a few times always Great service, vehicles have been in great condition, but best of all they are open 7 days a week, perfect for me as usually only need rentals for one day at the weekend, any other renter would charge either 2 day or full weekend as they aren't open for me to return it where as these guys are. Perfect. Well priced too.

In contrast to others, I've had a great experience with Thrifty. Had to keep moving the booking due to delays on a house move - which wasn't a problem (and no extra charges). Friendly and prompt service in store and a very clean, new and well equipped van. Plus, they were about 60% cheaper than their rivals in Sheffield. Would definitely use again.

When you pick the vehicle up you'll need to bring along the person who delivered you as a baby, your parents and grandparents, their birth certificates, and everybody you've met in the last 10 years who can verify you are who you say you are. Oh and their birth certificates and passports. What a performance!

And a £500 deposit! You could almost have bought a van for that! Oh and don't forget to bring a printed statement for the card on which you're paying the deposit. If you still want to use Thrifty DON'T BOOK ONLINE! The branch wont be able to do anything about your transaction other than wave the terms and conditions at you saying "contact customer services".

So, if you're looking for a professional service delivered by somebody who knows what they're doing, please try somewhere else - we went to Enterprise who in my case were cheaper and sorted us out on the day.

Absolute garbage. Had a car for a few days, no incidents or skirmishes, not even close. Was made to sit down in the office while it was inspected rather than inspect with the guy. He came back with a huge scuff on the alloy that could never have happened without my knowledge. Huge fee charged. Totally unpleasant experience all round. Swerve these.

Great service. I hired a top end BMW and a long wheel based van. Great condition inside and out. I will use thrifty all the time.

This Branch is exceptional, the staff are friendly and curtious, and they look after me very well! the vehicles are pristine and I use this branch a lot for business!

I damaged one of their brand new Jaguars a few days ago and they were brilliant about it and exceptionally fair with the costs! (Got scratched whilst parked up)

Might be worth people checking vehicles properly before they take them, and for a few quid take the extra liability insurance, it's a no brainer!

Personally I won't use anywhere else as these guys are brill!

Avoid at all costs

The Sheffield branch is absolutely terrible. No customer service whatsoever, dreadful attitude, they will literally just lie to you, and they will find any poor excuse to sting you for your deposit - spending over half an hour to inspect the vehicle on return. AVOID!
