Wow I just loved the video of my old school I left Thurmaston 45 years ago but still have very fond memories of it. I lived at 833 Melton road opposite the Unicorn and Star I remember marching with the brownies Singing in the church choir from aged 8 and the regattas on the river I spent many happy hours down by the river I remember going from one junior school up to Eastfield when it first opened and doing a re-enactment of the good the bad and the ugly on top of the steps from the dinner hall and help serving dinner on the tables with the pink jugs of Delrosa for our semolina I still love it to this day. Haha Happy memories I miss Thurmaston xx
There are few people in Thurmaston that work as hard as Mick and Lynn to promote local events and concerns. Well done and thanks
Love reading this I've only just moved to Thurmaston from the West Midlands ( The Black Country ) it's just fab to read all about the goings on in the village . Keep up the great work
I've not lived in Thurmaston for 20 years now but still read the Thurmaston Times from cover to cover. Have seen many village magazines but have yet to read one that is as informative, well planned out and such a good quality publication and read.
Great paper keeps you informed of nearly everything going on in the Village and surrounding areas
