Amateur drama group in Thurrock, UK. Producing plays since 1954. We perform at the Thameside Theatre, Grays 3 times per year. There is a car park to the rear of theatre. Bus /Train stations very nearby. Please see website for joining and rehearsal details

Courts Players have been entertaining audiences since their inception in 1954. We continue to strive to delight our followers by selecting a variety of plays and scripts - suggested and sometimes written by Society members. We draw on the prodigious talents of a mixed age group of actors (over 18 ) from Thurrock and the surrounding areas. Our most recent innovation is a home grown adult pantomime, with sold out audiences and plaudits from local press and visiting critics. We have won numerous awards at Festivals throughout the East Region of the National Operatic and Drama Association, one of the most recent being - to our delight and pride - for Best Director at the Brentwood Catholic Drama festival. This is the John Scowen Trophy, named after one of our most beloved members who sadly passed away in 2014.
