A huge welcome back to all the children! Everyone has settled in very well and we are looking forward to an exciting Autumn term.
Our main theme this term is 🦊The Woodlands🌳 and its 🦔animals🐿️ and we have focused on recognising and writing our names and we are concentrating on counting and number recognition this week.
We will also be having a dance session in October which we are very excited about! 💃🕺

How brilliant were the children on the stage today! The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛🦋 was performed excellently by the school leavers and everyone sang so beautifully! We would like to thank everybody for their wonderful gifts, we feel truly spoilt by everyones' generosity 🎁🎁🎁 We hope you all enjoy a fantastic 🏖️Summer Break🏖️ and look forward to seeing you in the new term on Monday 3rd September. What a fantastic day we had today! The children who will be attending Joydens Wood Infant School went over during the morning for a Teddy Bears' Picnic and had a wonderful time meeting their new classmates and teachers 🐻🐻🐻 Everyone enjoyed their lunches and took their teddies to play Duck, Duck, Goose with their old and new friends!
The water day was a huge success üåûüåûüåû lots of fun activities were set up outside: fishing with nets, washing babies, playing with the boats and sea-life to name but a few. We played in the sprinkler and then had a massive water fight, where everybody enjoyed getting a soaking - especially Sam and Debbie Long hair! We sent everybody home a little bit wet but also very happy!
We are looking forward to our Party Day tomorrow 🎉🎈✨don't forget your packed lunch and party clothes! 🥪🍏 . 💃🕺

The final three days of our 2018 Summer Term are here and we're kicking it off with our Tiggywinkles Water Day! üåûüåûüåûüåû
Please ensure that your child comes in with suncream on, wearing a hat and clothes that are suitable for getting wet in; and have a change of clothes and towel with them in a named bag! If they own a watergun, they may bring it so long as their name is written on it in sharpie!
If your child is attending the Joydens Wood Infants School Teddy Bears Picnic, pleas...e make sure they have a small packed lunch and teddy with them too!
At the end of the day we will be letting the children go straight from the playground area rather than the foyer, they will more than likely be very wet!

Our Craft Activity is making trees 🌳🌳🌳 by dipping our fingertips in paint, and sticking sun-shines together for our display!

Well Done to all of the children who helped to create our giant Dragon Display for Saint George's Day last week! The children helped us to paint his egg-cup head, choose his eyes and paint his cardboard scales and his styrofoam tail!
We stuck him all together and voil√Ý! We have a new guardian to keep everyone at Playgroup safe and sound!

After a rainy day, the sunny weather has returned - let's hope it's here to stay! üåûüåûüåû
To encourage it to stay warm, the children are personalising some Ice Creams in this week's Craft Activity! They can choose between vanilla, strawberry or mint, can add a cherry or a flake, then have different types of sprinkles to choose from! 🍦🍦🍦
In our Focused Activity this week the children can practice their writing skills when we work on writing our names! üìùüìù

As the beach weather continues, we will be making sure to be making full use of the Outside Area, so please ensure that your child has their sunhat and suncream on before coming into Playgroup.
In our Focused Activity this week we will be learning about the different shapes in the environment around us and measuring them!
... For our Craft Activity we will be celebrating Saint George's Day by making the scales for a big Dragon Display for the foyer!

Good morning everyone and welcome back to a sunny start to our 🏖️Summer Term!🏖️ We hope everyone had a lovely Spring Break and that we're all feeling energized and ready for lots of exciting new learning! 📚
The Weather Forecast says that it's supposed to be lovely and 🌞hot🌞 this week, so please ensure that your children have plenty of suncream on before they come into Playgroup and sunhats NAMED and in their bags :)🧢🕶️
🐌🌻🌷🦋 In our focused activity this week we will be ventur...ing outside to investigate the 🌻🌷plants🌹🌼 and 🐝🐞minibeasts🐛🐜 that we can find in the natural world! We will then be returning inside to read some books about nature, draw around some stencils and talk about seeds and how they grow! 🦗🌼🌹🕷️
üìòüìôAs part of our craft this week, the children will be choosing pictures which they will glue together to tell a story of their own! üìïüìó
We also have a super yummy snack to try this week: two different kinds of flapjacks (made with either honey or raisins) and üçéapple slicesüçè to try!

Have a lovely Spring Break, everybody!
We start back on Monday the 16th of April :)

Good morning everyone and welcome to our last week of term before Spring Break!
Our Focused activity this week will be icing and decorating Easter Biscuits and we will be making Easter Cards using our hand-prints for our Craft. Our Snack this week will be pittas or carrot sticks with different dips to try!
Please don't forget that our last day is Thursday, which is our Easter Coffee Morning and open for parents to come in and try some of our fun activities and cakes! We are a...ware that some schools are off on that day but unfortunately we are unable to allow older children due to insurance purposes.
Another reminder that the DEADLINE for submitting the Little Urchins Old Fasioned Photographs is Wednesday -please return all photographs and proofs before this date :)

Wasn't everyone sparkling today! We had glittering black sand in our Space toys, different coloured glitter in the My Little Ponies and we listened to all sorts of fun disco songs! We had great fun doing the actions in our dance activity and we turned all the lights off to roll some light-up glitter balls to each other.
Please don't forget to return the Old Fashioned Photos from Little Urchins BY NEXT WEDNESDAY so that we can send off for the real copies before the Easter Hol...idays :)

Tiggywinkles is proud to be raising money for Sport Relief this week! We have a collections bowl in the foyer for any donations!
Don't forget about our Go Go Disco day on Friday! Please bring your child in wearing sparkly clothes for some fun Dancing Activities! (You can wear sparkles too if you'd like ;P )

Brrr what a chilly weekend! At playgroup this week we’ll be developing our Maths skills during our colour-by-numbers Focused Activity! For our Craft we will be rolling painted balls to paint Easter Eggs. At Snacktime we have ham and cheese wraps or grapes to try!

A great big THANK YOU to the Fire Fighters from Dartford Fire Station who brought their Fire Engine to visit us today! The children loved spraying the hose, sitting in the Fire Engine, trying on all of the protective gear and listening to the very loud siren. The Fire Fighters themselves were wonderful with the children, and we can’t thank them enough for providing this opportunity for the children to see a real Fire Engine and we think they may have inspired a few future Fire Fighters!

Such a happy and welcoming place, with genuinely caring and approachable staff. My daughter has loved her time at Tiggy’s!



Edit to add: I need to give a special thank you to Sally, Georgia’s keyworker, who has helped Georgia no end. I couldn’t have hoped for a kinder, more patient and caring person to look after my daughter.

My son had the best years at Tiggys, the staff have been fantastic and we were sad to be leaving but they have prepared him in the best way for his big boy school. They’ve made his early years very enjoyable

My daughter came to here when we moved and they were so welcoming to us and understanding with her. Now my son goes there and he has problems and they are vert helpful and like to do what they can to help him. I live all the staff there they are always so welcoming and happy to chat.

I have had two daughters both attend tiggywinkles playgroup and they have loved going. Debbie (short hair) needs a massive mention as she was my daughters keyworker and had a great bond with Tilly. She attended all of her needs and was always there for her when she needed her, lovely lady. Paula (manager) is a lovely lady who puts ur heart and soul into all the children to make them feel like part of a family. All the ladies are lovely and look after the children really well.

Thankyou for making tillys early years one to remember and she will have memories to last forever ÔøΩÔøΩÔøΩ

Freya attended Tiggys for over 1.5 years, since she was just 2 and during this time has learnt to talk, and with their help, she has become a confident, caring and bright little girl. The staff are lovely and as with other reviews, her Key person needs a special mention. Debbie (long hair) is everything i could have wished for in a key worker. They have a huge bond. Freya has come on leaps and bounds with her. Its a lovely preschool/playgroup and lots of memories have been made for both my daughter and me!
