Went here for some Sunday lunch yesterday after leaving the Toby Carvery as it was full, & I’m glad that happened! Food was well cooked and hot, service was done with a smile and price was good too.... well done Timbers.

We were looking for somewhere to have brunch today and came by this place, absolutely lovely, food was brill, great standard, very well priced and really friendly staff who were chatting away to our 4year old about her sunglasses and marvel characters! Have already recommended to friends and will be back very soon!

This is the only restaurant in town that serves the best food at the best prices and the best staff ever. If you haven't tried it you don't know what you are missing. 10 out of 10.

This is the best restaurant in Colchester town, we go there nearly every week. The food is 5 stars and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and I would give them more than 5 stars. Love it here ‚̧ԳŹ‚̧ԳŹūüĆüūüĆüūüĆüūüĆüūüĆüūüĆüūüĆüū üĆüūüĆüūüĆü

Lovely friendly staff. Very helpful, I'm veggie and have to be gluten free, Timbers caters both, it's such a treat to be able to go somewhere and eat!

It was my birthday yesterday so me and mum went shopping and stumbled upon Timbers. The food was excellent, big portions and seriously tasty, couldn't fault it, best of all - had homemade jam rolly polly for dessert, which was just amazing! ūüĎĆūüŹľ Staff were fab, accommodating to our needs and really friendly. Highly recommend Timbers and will be bringing the boys along with us next time!

Had a lovely meal here yesterday. Thank you to the lovely waitress that pushed our food through a bit quicker as one of us had a hair appt. Lovely food and great service

Great vegan breakfast! Looked like a few options for lunch as well! Very impressed, will be returning for more vegan breakfasts :)

Excellent food, polite and friendly staff - although I only had a sandwich and soup I didn't feel the need to have a cooked meal that evening, it was so filling!!!

Came here today with our boys for the first time and we had a fantastic experience. Great staff and fantastic breakfast. Thank you very much! It's a must if you are in the town.

Absolutely lovely place to enjoy a meal or a coffee. I had beef and Ale pie and I must say that I have never had a pie with so much filling. It was delicious with lots of flavour. Staff are fabulous, friendly and polite. The service is great and due to all of this I most certainly will continue to use Timbers when wanting lunch in town ūüėÄūüĎć

Very nice ambiance. Although upstairs needs cheering up a bit with maybe some warmer lighting. The staff are lovely and really helpful and seem to really take in what you say.

Food was lovely and reasonably priced.

Only complaint was my dish was a vegetarian mash and sausages. Which again was lovely apart from the gravy, which unfortunately was so salty it ruined the whole meal. I understand from the wAitress they use 'ready made' vege gravy granules. I have stopped buying these at home because they are too salty. Apparently they make a reduced salt version in Sainsburys but I've not managed to get any yet.

So to timbers I would say either make your own gravy or buy the reduced salt version

Very busy on the last Sunday before Christmas but staff were very friendly and honest about the wait. Lots of choice on the menu and food was delicious.
