We have been to timbers many times for lunches, which offer lovely food and great staff. Also went to the Christmas party night in December and was a great night.... good food and disco..... would throughly recommend.

Was really impressed with Timbers, attended a Christmas party and I have to say the food and service was fabulous, the DJ was brilliant too! Will definitely look at going back there again soon. Brilliant venue for a party and really reasonably priced.

Loved it, Freddie Mercury Tribute was fantastic, although there wasn't a lot of food on the plate and it was very simple, to be honest for the amount of people they had to serve at the same time, it was served hot the staff were friendly and with the entertainment, we would definitely go again. Great night out, best we've had in ages

I visited this fine restaurant with grapevine on Saturday and was very pleased with it .nice food .staff were very helpful and made to feel welcome. plenty of parking. would recommend this to anybody

I have been visiting Timbers for many many years even after moving from Braintree to Ely Cambridgeshire. They treat you like family not customers, provide great food and great tribute acts. If you haven't already visited and seen Freddie or Buddy it's a must. Oh and don't forget they do a lovely cream tea for that special occasion.

First time I've stopped here for a cold drink. The staff are just amazing we will definitely come again and have something to eat as the food looked Devine.

First roast id eaten in Timbers today and can't recommend it enough! Best roast I've ever had! Booked again for 2 weeks time ....hats off to the chef and also to the very friendly staff

Couldn't find any faults at all! The breakfasts tasted of food, not processed stuff you get in some places. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It's somewhere we would definitely recommend and visit again

Brilliant! Booked here last, minute for a birthday party. Last minute as original venue let us down (double booking). We were not sure on numbers or anything actually!!! Timbers we're fantastic. We couldn't have wished for better- food, service, everything was spot on. Bless them. We will definitely be back.

A great venue for a Christmas Party with excellent service from all the staff; very welcoming and attentive. With large numbers to cater for, I was very pleased with my dinner. Music played by DJ was just right and ensured an enjoyable evening.

Visited last Saturday for lunch and was very happy with the service and food. Service was quick, surroundings were brilliant and the staff were extremely helpful- especially the tall veggie lad- so sorry I didn't catch your name. Only sad I was too full for cake! Next time...

Popped in by accident really, got a bit lost and found this little Gem... lovely staff, felt comfortable straight away, looks like a fun place for a night out to as we only stopped for lunch, will definitely be returning .

Lovely barn type setting. Saw the Freddie Mercury tribute act which was ok. I'm afraid I didn't think he sounded much like the man but he was a good performer. However after his break he had changed clothes and came back singing Neil Diamond amongst others. As a confirmed rock lover I came here to hear rock songs so was disappointed that the rock theme didn't continue. The food served wasn't great as the only choices were scampi and chips, fish and chips or chicken and chips. So totally unhealthy and carb heavy.

We have been here twice now. And I have to say the only reason we have returned is the food! Cannot fault it. However the front of house staff are nothing but rude, blunt and basically don't seem to know a thing about hospitality! With a personality lesson I would give nothing less than 5 stars!! Your team let's you down! Shame

The older staff certainly have never heard of service with a smile. Booked a table for 17 for afternoon tea and was split onto 3 tables the food was definitely sub standard with dry bread for the sandwiches. Staff were not happy that we asked for more milk and water for our tea. Will not be returning!

Surroundings are very nice. Old barn been renovated well. I felt the menu was a bit limited and old fashioned but the food was nice. Shame they won’t let dogs in.

Very under staffed felt very sorry for the staff that were there, very apologetic but the coffee was cold & it was freezing in there, it was very busy & poor staff could not cope, shall not go back in a hurry.

Very disappointed with customer service & Sunday roast. Dirty table & cutlery, had to move onto another table. Beef was awful. Tough, thin & hard to chew, even the woman on the other table was having trouble eating it. Vegetables poor quality & not enough for 3 people. Complained, no real apologies, or any discount, free meal/dessert. As a returning customer and known to the lady who normally books in the table for us me or my parents won't be coming back. Sadly disappointed.
