We are hiring! We have several job roles available with immediate starts, come and join our enthusiastic hard working team, right on Polzeath Beach. Vacancies are as follows:
Permanent Sous Chef £21-£23,000
Working directly under the head chef, you will be second in command in the kitchen and will take responsibility for the running of the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence.
... Responsible for the daily operations and tasks of the kitchen when the head chef is attending to other business needs.
Lead by example, demonstrating proper usage of kitchen equipment and correct cooking techniques to kitchen staff.
Ensure staff follow correct sanitation rules and regulations as well as Health and Safety procedures
Responsible for quality assurance of the food going out of the kitchen, including overseeing the ingredients to ensure that the food is of the upmost quality.
Ensure kitchen staff follow cost standards and limit wastage.
Ensure the timely delivery of food from the kitchen to the customers
Assist the head chef with stock take and ordering food and kitchen supplies where necessary.
Offer ideas and suggestions to the head chef with planning menus and improving overall kitchen performance.
Commis Chef - Competitive hourly rate
We now have a full time vacancy for an experienced and enthusiastic Commis Chef to work with us through the season. The position is immediate start until the 1st November 2018.
Responsibilities/Person spec
· Assist the Head and Sous chefs in providing high standards of food preparation and presentation · Ensure consistency in food delivery · Be able to work under pressure · Strong communication skills · Excellent team player · High level of Health and Safety standards
Kitchen Porter - Competitive hourly rate
We are looking to take on 2 KP's to work with us through the busy summer season! Our KPs are essential to keeping the kitchen and FOH running smoothly and we are offering full time hours.
The roles are immediate starts until the 1st November 2018 and responsibilities are as follows unloading deliveries, collecting and washing glasses, pots, pans, plates and cutlery.
Front of House Assistant - Competitive hourly rate
We are looking for experienced front of house staff to join our dedicated team. We run a vibrant, busy, family orientated cafe/bar situated on the beautiful Polzeath beach. We offer excellent service and our team are friendly, fun and hard working. We have 2 vacancies available for full time staff from the 1st July throughout the summer season. Shift patterns will vary and will include weekends and evenings. If you have front of house experience and enjoy working with customers then this is the job for you.
