We had an Aztec soft play & bowling party here with 17 kids on Saturday & it was really good. Nikki was our host and she did a fab job of organising everything for us & did everything with a smile. Very impressed & the kids all went away happy. Thanks

User

TLH has something to suit everyone. Fabulous children’s club 3 times a day hosted by the loveliest entertainment team. Dinner has a huge selection to choose from and it’s great tasting food. Aztec bar serves really delicious food but it’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Swimming pools indoor & outdoor are excellent too. Rooms can be quite noisy & hot but we are out of our room by 830am and after a quick change before dinner, not back there til after 830pm. My daughter absolutely loves coming here and we are so very pleased to have found this gem of a place that suits us all (ages 6-69).

User

Rooms very good and comfortable, food delicious, and plenty, entertainment OK but late starting because of bingo, not my favourite game, but I know you have to please the majority

Returned recently from a mini's rugby tour staying for 2 nights. The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. My son has allergies, but despite having 200 + other people to cater for, the chef and restaurant manager ensured he had a delicious 3 course meal especially for him every day. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice room and great fun at the Aztec Games room. We had a great stay! Thank you to everyone at the Victoria and TLH Resort.

User

Just returned from a midweek break at the Derwent Hotel and again had a lovely time, food is good, staff are helpful and made us feel welcome. Evening entertainment in the Starlight Lounge was second to none. We will definitely return.

User

Just come back from a fabulous girlie spa break and stayed at the carlton hotel the staff were amazing and so welcoming. We arrived late and unfortunately missed dinner on the first night due to traffic and road closures. However, they made up a lovely cold platter for us. The good was amazing and really enjoyed it. The pool could of been a bit warmer but fabulous facilities and the spa and treatments was amazing. I had such a wonderful stay that I rebooked to take my children as so much for them to do can't wait to come back thank you.

User

Just came home today having spent a few days here.Absolutely loved it !! staff were very polite and very helpful, thankyou for making our holiday very enjoyable

User

Just arrived back in Cornwall after an AMAZING 2 days staying in the Derwent hotel. We absolutely love coming here and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Torquay. Entertainment was brilliant and the hotel has everything you would ever need for a perfect stay. Staff are lovely and helpful

Can’t wait to visit again.

User

I always take my 2 kids to Aztec Games they love it, especially my 3 year old. I took them to Aztec Games today for the Open day and they absolutely loved it! It was nice and cool and out of the boiling sun shine. Spent 3 hours there playing in the free soft play, bowling and even entered a few competitions, one of which my daughter won. She won a voucher for a game of bowling for up to 4 people, so we'll obviously be returning even though we were planning to anyway.

User

Had a great 5 day break from 7th til 11th May. Good location. We stayed in one of the Victoria apartments which were nice and spacious. Entertainment every night and access to the swimming pool sauna hammam. For a little extra I tried a few fitness classes at the studio big up and thank you to Lou for the piloxing and pound classes which I tried out for the first time thanks Lou for your energy I felt great afterwards.

This is a great place for a seaside break. I was with my parents but would also be a great break with friends.

User

Breakfast is fab, good quality and lots to choose from.

Dinner is good, allergies and fussy eaters catered for with no problems.

Staff have all been pleasant and helpful.

Pool and Spa is amazing, except chlorine in the hot tub was a bit strong!

Entertainment caters for all, enjoyed the line dancing, missed the bingo though.

Room is good, we like the firm beds, you get what you pay for, cleaned and tidied daily, just need a little paint in places - mainly for scuff marks from suitcases!

User

Amazing play area had to try when a friend recommended it to us you guys beat play cafe top place for kids much better environment and atmosphere staff are incredibly helpful and friendly love the place little boy only a year old and best place seen him so happy to play would happily recommend to friends also another fab benefit think hubs loved was a free coffee £3.50 free adult drink and kids free drink can't go wrong worth money plus no timers or anything.

User

We stay at the Derwent and the Victoria regularly and normally throughly enjoy our visits , so much so we call it our second home. But I’m afraid our stay over Easter was disappointing, we were told on arrival that we had a room on the ground floor as requested and that it was a lovely big room however by the time we had eaten lunch and went to check in this room had been given to someone else and we were on the first floor in what must have been the noisiest room in the hotel. Between being directly above the starlight room, the corridor door that made the wall shake every time it banged and the early morning collection of bottles directly below the window is didn’t encourage a restful stay. On Saturday my partner and son weren’t able to use the pool as they said it was being used at maximum capacity so after standing around waiting in their swim shorts for some time they gave up that idea, very annoying as it’s one of the main reasons we stay at this hotel . The hotel entertainment team were as ever , excellent but I thought the visiting singing duo ‘eclipse’ that graced the stage on good Friday were well below the usual standard of acts we see here, and it seems I wasn’t alone in that opinion as more than half the room emptied as they started the second part of their act. All in all such a shame and so out of character from what is usually a more than excellent hotel. 😞

User

Usually brilliant but not happy today went out for the day came back to have some peace and quiet instead kids disco party right below are room untill 6pm loud music the reason we came away was are grandson was having a sleep over party for his 10th birthday could have stayed home SAVED 348£+drinks money wont be returning

User

A little haphazard booking in and general communication regarding spa treatments etc. Unfortunately, our room was small for three adults and felt very claustrophobic. Also music could be heard early evening and early morning, not welcome. Beds in our room too hard. Great bathroom and shower. Dinner was very average, but the breakfast was good quality and tasty. Serving staff were great.

User

my little boy cut his foot open on the floor of the swimming pool area.it wasn't looked into so others could end up injuring themselves too. It ruined our dip and dine experience as had to leave the pool area. Ive since emailed and waiting on a phone call but nothing yet.

User

Lovely hotel till unruly children and disinterested parents turned up. People ignoring “ No Smoking “ signs round the open air pool, moving loungers and blocking walkways and drinking beer from glass bottles obviously bought in by them. We’d had super week spoilt today by lack of consideration of orhers
