Went there for a carvery lunch today and couldn't fault it. Friendly service from the lovely girl behind the counter and then my friend and I got ourselves a king sized carvery.



Well worth the money; chef went off to get a fresh turkey then filled up with Yorkshire pud, roasties, swede, carrots, gravy. Smashing meal, and would recommend highly.

We love going. Service is always good, very friendly staff. They let my baby have a bowl of veg, which they didn't have to; the roasties are lovely, as is the mash. I adore the stuffing, the sauces are great. Everything is Luke warm at best buy hey ho who cares �

The food was fantastic and delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful and carvery is my favourite and my parents love it too

Thank you again for a lovely carvery, we popped in lunch time yesterday for my daughters 25th birthday and had a great meal.

We have been calling into the Toby for breakfast on our way to our caravan or on the journey home. Breakfast is excellent it's all that you can eat & drink, everything is nice & fresh. You can make yourself plenty of toast if you want to. We would definitely recommend xx

To have the choice of 4 roast joints. Then the choice of various vegetables as much as you like or can fit on the plate. Then you have lashings of gravy. All sauce accomplishments. Staff are hard working.

On our last visit there was a problem with all draft drinks due to a power surge causing the chilling and pumps to fail. This was explained on arrival as they could only supply bottled drinks.

Would recommend a visit. Good value for money even on Sundays

Well can I say, I have never been to a carvery where the meat is weighed on a plate that includes a Yorkshire pudding or sausages if you had turkey..

The veg and meat had obviously been under the hot lamps since lunch and were very dry.

As we were staying at the Premier Inn next door not a lot of other options.

The food was ok but the meat was very bitty carrots were hard but everything was ok the toilets were disgusting and the place looks very tired and needs updating there was no cranberry sauce which would have been nice to have with the turkey but for the price it’s ok

Didn't like the cauliflower cheese, cauliflower uncooked and couldn't taste the cheese in sauce, and not very much meat,

We went early 12pm for Sunday carvery waited for a while for a member of staff to start carving. Many variations of uniform so unsure who were staff. Cutlery was not fully laid on table as what was on the table needed a clean! From experience the carvery lacked a variety of vegetables. Gravy was not labelled so we were unsure which one was for which. No condiments available until after we sat down...too late. Meat was sliced so thinly it was transparent! Staff were polite and helpful. This place needs a shake up especially on the carvery to make it go smoothly. Won't be going again but we will still visit other Toby carverys that have provided a fantastic meal. It was almost like they were not ready for bookings from 12 as a carvery even though this is in the name!

Tired shabby pub, roast ok toilets are the most disgusting I have ever been in and have not been cleaned ever I should think �

Food was dry, meat counter was too hot and potatoes were burnt. Lots of people complaining and was not that busy

Arrived at about 8pm waited a fair while to be acknowledged by a member of staff who told us there was a 15 Mum wait. There were two tables occupied and only two of us. Asked if he was joking about the wait for a table to be told no they are all filthy need resetting, go and get a drink at the bar and I will come and find you. What a joke �� the place didn’t look filthy at all, all tables were clear just needed cutlery. Why 15 mins for a table for two? Anyway food was really good once we got a table. Waiting to pay again really slow service and when we did get acknowledged the lad is stood there with his McDonald’s drink serving us.

What a load of rubbish meat crumbs, burn’t roasties, lumpy gravy, tasteless cauliflower cheese! Dirty menus, dirty tables,

The most revolting toilets, sit on it and it wobbles terrible

The whole place is dirty, the chef whites are not white!!!

We arrived this evening for a family meal to finish of my sons birthday, we came in buzzing but ended up leaving very cross and unhappy!!! I needed to change my sons nappy and as I have never been there before I went to the bar and asked where the changing facilities we’re, where I was told to “Bloody wait” by an arrogant man behind the bar. I just couldn’t believe how awful the service was and to be spoken to like that, I ended up changing my sons nappy on the floor in the ladies toilet as I felt non of the staff wanted to help and we’re so rude!!!! This left me sooooooo angry, I approached the manager on at the time to which I had no apology, no follow up NOTHING!!! Then to top it all of they cocked up our bill trying to over charge us on carverys and drinks!! I would never ever go back there again, what a terrible experience and I’m saddened that it spoilt the end of my sons birthday! ��

Very poor service staff very scruffy at one point four members of staff standing around doing nothing by entrance , and a member of staff was drinking what appeared to be a pint of beer from under the counter at the entrance , not very professional seeing a scruffy member of staff when your entering , as they should be the face of the company , , directed to the bar as no tables

Free in the restaurant , had to wait 20 minutes to get food , when we went back to the restaurant the same tables I saw empty in the resteraunt were still empty , so we could have sat there, when we were finally seated we asked for a glass of bitter lemon , Got told we have tribute bitter , i said no bitter lemon , member of staff didn't have a clue , what a bitter lemon was , watched him walk away to ask another member of staff what it was , when my wife went up to carvery she asked can I have pork and turkey and pointed to the meats , chef said you don't have to point I know what meats are what by now , not very professional . Toilets also not clean and toilet seat hanging off . Oh and when bitter lemon finally arrived after he forgot to get it , he put the drink on totally the wrong table . Staff absolutely need re training awful experience , there was only one member of staff a young lady with pig tails who seemed to know what she was doing and she was the only one who seemed to be really busy sorting out people in the restaurant. If it was my staff I get rid and start again very very poor service on the whole . I think all the staff could do with re training

Rip of over boiled food. Check your receipt as we were over charged for a Pimm's!

Me and my family visited Toby Carvery on Mother's Day Sunday & have all had food poisoning. Me, my partner, mother & sister have all been so poorly. We live in Norfolk & had to travel home on Monday feeling awful. If you want food poisoning then visit this place. Ruined our trip visiting our sister!!
