We arrived with a big group At short notice when I arrived we were seated by a lovely lady (canŌĆÖt remember her name but she had red hair and an eyebrow piercing) she made us feel very welcome, she pulled tables for us together and arranged for our drinks to be bought over to us! Great service on short notice, lovely grub too! Will deffo come back again plus the puddings are amazing ’┐Į

Tonight the restaurant was packed, we patiently queued, and could see the chef serving was very busy, the couple before us Moaned about some fat on her meat, but the chef was very apologetic, and offered to trim the fat off, when it was our turn she asked how we all were and if weŌĆÖd had a good day, despite the heat, the rush, and awkward customers, Nicole was superb 10/10 very impressed, I hope she got her drink ’┐Į

This is without a doubt the best Toby Carvery we have been to and when we come to Devon twice a year we always visit. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, food is always hot and a good selection compared to other Tobys we have been to as Well and the service is spot on!

Staff were all really lovely today, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making my birthday meal so memorable xxx

I want to thank the lady at Toby Carvery Lympstone today, I had to travel to Exeter this morning for a Hospital appointment for my son. On the way back the Snow came down very quick and thickly, we had to abandon our car (Parked safely). We had no choice but to walk back to Exmouth (approx. 6 miles). Half way back I was hailed by a lady from the Toby Carvery (Although Closed officially) offering me a very welcome hot Coffee. It was a very kind gesture and much needed. As I reached into my pocket for payment, it was swiftly turned down, no payment required. So heartfelt thanks to the lady for this very kind action. We will be up there soon to thank you in person.

Had a really good experience at breakfast this morning! A friendly woman called Karen greeted us and was really welcoming offering my little one colouring sheets and child size cutlery! Yummy food too!

Great staff! Excellent value carvery and breakfast! Brilliant staters,tasters,deserts and alternatives for vegetarians/vegans.

Wide range of drinks also great offers via the ŌĆśTobyŌĆÖ app all year round.

Great service tonight no complaints from us.

Good food, waitress was very welcoming and friendly, we are from out of area but if your passing I'd recommend. X

Great meal at short notice for a table of 5 this evening. The waitress we had was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The Carvery was lovely. Everything was hot and plenty to choose from. Much better than other TobyŌĆÖs we have been to in the area. Thank you so much for accommodating us and we will be back soon. Fantastic time great food kids enjoyed playing out side in the garden the staff was very friendly and got the children toys so they could play games out side

Called in on Sunday on our way home to Dorset. Excellent food, Hot & fresh, Everything you expect from a carvery. Found the staff to be lovely & very friendly, Our waitress Kirsty was very attentive & made us feel at home. Will defo be back as always back & forth visiting family.

Absolutely 5*!!!! Excellent Service by very attentive and friendly Staff. A bit of a queue to get 'The Carvery'............but hey, it didn't really matter as 'The Carvery' was absolutely delicious, with fresh hot food coming out of the Kitchens continually!!! Excellent all round. Highly recommend 'The Toby Carvery' at Lympstone!!! Thank You to all the Staff, 'out-front' and to The Staff in those hot Kitchens too!!!

I've forgotten the name of the waitress (I think it was Jenny), she was fantastic today. Service was prompt, carvery was lovely and the waitress was great with my little boy. Thanks guys, was a lovely way to finish a lovely sunny Exmouth day.

Thank you for letting us overnight in the carpark in our motorhome.

I'm sure we will return next time we are this way.

Have been a couple of times before and it has always been ok but this time popped in after work and was shown to a dirty table which was surrounded by bits of food on the floor. We asked for no ice in our drinks and both had ice in them. We waited 20 mins while they tidied the carvery area up and after waiting a further 20 mins in the queue for the carvery we decided to leave as it appeared it would be about another 30 mins before we got to the front of the queue and went to eat somewhere else. The refill drink machine was surrounded by a puddle of coke which no member of staff seemed bothered about cleaning up. Not a good experience.

I can tell by the way you walk your walk, you're a woman's man, no time to talk. I can't be that positive about this establishment, I went there expecting nothing and I was disappointed. We arrived at midnight and it was closed... how dare they do this too me and my family, my sweet daughter Bethany cried for six minutes straight... so I jabbed her in the mouth and she stopped living. Basically you killed my daughter and I'm not happy. The place looked nice throw the window, even though it was dark inside.

Seated at a table for 4 which was so small , 2 of us had to sit on the corners. Greeted by an empty carvery with no chef - when he appeared he clearly didnŌĆÖt want to be there. 1 fatty end of beef left so I asked him to get a fresh joint - a few mins later and he returned with a new beef joint and then still tried to give me the end of the old joint ! Stuffing had run out and was a further few minutes wait with a comment that they were understaffed - an apology for the wait would have gone a lot further. Yorkshire puddings were undercooked - sprouts were rock hard. Unlimited Diet Coke was flat and tasted weird.Waitress came over after our meal and asked if everything was ok - I said it was not a good meal and she asked why - I explained - the waitress then left muttering that she would tell someone but she never came back ! We then took ourselves to pay and the same waitress took our payment but she didnŌĆÖt mention anything about our comments or who she had fed it back to. The poor seating, poor food and poor service means that we wonŌĆÖt be going back. Toby Middlemoor offers a much better experience for food quality and service and friendliness of staff - itŌĆÖs a shame as when this was the Nutwell Lodge it was one of the better carvery places in the area but Toby have done nothing to keep that going.

Rubbish. Sent a special offer to be used today. Got to the Toby to be told they only had enough meat for the few tables that had booked. Why bother with the offers if your not buying enough supplies
