About Toby Carvery

Here at Toby Carvery Stoneycroft, we believe there's only one way to do our beloved British roast – and that's properly.

Toby Carvery Description

When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Liverpool's favourite carvery restaurant.

Recently visited with family, the young girl who was looking after our table was lovely, but she tried to take our orders without writing it down and had to check a number of times, and this was carried on through desert, We all enjoyed the food , and had a lovely night, we will all be back soon....

User

Early mother's day treat and every think was spot on.. first time i have seen the new decor.. i really enjoyed my night, all the staff are pleasant and friendly .. i can't fault my meal or mother's treat in anyway..

User

nice place nice food nice staff

User

We went last night for our meal the food was lovely the two blond waitresses that served us were lovely wish I had gotten their names they were so helpful so accommodating and friendly would go back

User

My family and I celebrated mothers day at the carvery, we booked via the internet and although we had a small wait we we're seated in a reasonable time considering it was choka for Mothers day. The food was lovely and the staff were great . The table we sat at was not suitable for 6 people and did feel a bit cramped, however what do you expect on a busy mothers day. We have been going to the Carvery for about 18 years and have never seen it looking so good.

Thank you Toby Carvery

User

much improved décor and seating no more of those tables with rims that were full of nasty old food . The food has been a lot nicer and hotter . Still needs a decent lock on the disabled toilet .

User

We had are breakfast there and it was nice me and my daughter enjoy it x

User

The service was good the roast was very nice the new decor was lovely just a pity our funky milkshakes weren’t that cold but had a pleasant experience

User

Been loads of times for breakfast & carvery loving the refurbishment had breakfast the mushrooms where too peppery the choice of items going smaller could do with proper hash browns & black pudding on for a bit more variety & there was only scrambled egg no fried when i went up so made toast while waiting no fried eggs arrived so it was scrambled.

User

Wen we got our carvery the roast potatoes were hard and dry peas were burnt and carrots dried out roast beef was tough

User

I've been using this carvery for years, and I am very impressed with the recent refurb, hi disappointed upon my recent visit for breakfast as the part of the room we were sitting in was chilly and the food and coffee was only Luke warm and the food had obviously been standing in the serving bins for awhile as it was dried up, don't like to complain but!!!

User

Where do I start on this review the girl who served us clearly didn't have a clue what she was doing I asked for mint sauce at the start of my meal as the bowl was empty ended up having to eat my roast without it then my dessert was brought out with ice cream after me clearly asking for custard to which she then brought out a jug of custard expecting me to eat the first desert she brought out which had ice cream all over it and was freezing cold by this point and then went to the next table to loudly talk about me to people who I can only assume she knew as they where the only people who got her service the whole time we were there I wasn't the only person who found her to be very rude and arrogant and I will now not be returning due to lack of customer care

User

Went to Toby Carvery last night at 6.45 to be told they had ran out of beef and pork . We decided to stay and get turkey and gammon . During our 15 minute wait for our table people were getting turned away because they had ran out of meat ! We were assured there was enough left for us but when we went for our food there was only gammon left and I don’t like that ! Absolutely fuming ! We asked were we getting free deserts as compensation , joking but serious , we were told no because we were told before we went in . They didn’t come and tell us that the turkey had ran out though ! Wish we had gone somewhere else !

User

Very upset with our bill this is second time we have been cost £20 last time £27 for 2 people saying £6.99 for meal on your web page but because it’s Sunday we were charged £9.99 for one meal and £4 odd for VAT

User

Table reserved we arrived 10 mins early and told a 20 minute wait. Ok with that as was Mother's Day so expected it and we were a bit early. 40 minutes later nothing went to ask how long told few more minutes. Another 20 minutes again we had to go and ask told few more minutes. We were told that we were now top of list, weren't we top of list at 5:30 the time we had a reservation for? Over an hour after the time booked we were shown to a booth. I thought I was coming to the Queens for a roast dinner not to an American diner. 6 adults were expected to squash together in a booth, nowhere for coats and bags to go. When we complained and said it did not have enough space. The mumbled response was That's all there is we are struggling to find space for everyone. You'll have to wait longer if you don't want it - it was now 6:40pm we'd booked for 5:30. We couldn't accept the booth given it would have been impossible to eat and enjoy our meals that squashed up. Our 76 year old Mum was offering to go home so the rest of us had space to eat as she was that uncomfortable. We've lived in the area for 40 years and seen lots of changes to the Queens over time but not like this. We walked out without eating. If you take bookings you need to manage those bookings, that was not managed today. Totally ruined our family day together for Mothers Day.

User

My partner and I visited here today and we were very disappointed to say the least, the food was abismall.my partners beef was mainly fat and i was served the end slice of gammon that had been left so long it had gone hard and when I asked the server to change it his attitude was as bad as the meat.the cauliflower, carrots and mashed potatoes had all gone brown, the turnip was cold and the roasties were burnt,on a positive though the waitresses were lovely.

User

Haven't been for a while decided to go yesterday for a roast and was so dissapointed the meat was a slither like the cheap boil in the bag beef from years ago the gammon was the same and the pork and turkey I mean come on be a bit generous with it it's not like the carver is paying out of his wages 👎🏻👎🏻 Won't be goin back again ok stick to the Lyme wood in St. Helens in future.well worth the little extra mile for a peice of meat not a slither..!!!!!

User

Filthy toilets...bad mannered rude staff...only serving 2 meats.....worst run Toby carvery in England .
