Yummy Apple crumble. Really good and helpful staff. An excellent place for a meal and socialising. Will definitely eat there again.

Not previously been a fan and went vegetarian earlier this year. Went in on a Thursday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the new veggie and vegan options. They were really tasty too. Service was good although restaurant not busy at that time. Chef was very good with questions for my wife about which veggies were vegan or not and sorted us out a portion of I'm cheesed cauliflour. Definitely will go back

Lovely freshly prepared food, would definitely recommend :-)

Had another family celebration at Toby Carvery Almondsbury today. Again brilliant service and food. It's the only place my autistic son will eat out and you always make an effort to ensure he has a good time too so thanks again.

Bloody good food bloody good service well done keep it going xxxxxx

Have had two meals here in the last fortnight the first was terrible the Cauliflower cheese tasted fishy for some reason and we had too pay extra for a few small pigs in blankets

The second time we had a meal here was brilliant everything tasted lovely although I didn t have any cauliflower cheese

One thing I did notice was they ran out of Turkey and we were told there wouldn't be any till 4pm ( we were there at 1.30 )

Yes we would go here again

Waitress serving us was very friendly and helpful and the food was great. Rating a 3 because the woman at front of house was so rude! We were a party of 6 and all of us were horrified at her manner and attitude. For this reason we won't be visiting again.

Just got back from this carvery with 11 family members, food was okish apart from the issue with mash potato, my grandaugher wouldn't eat a carvery, we asked the waitress for a bowl which we was told to do by the chef who was serving the meat, we took mash from our plate to give her which she didn't eat she said it was disgusting (her words) not ours. The supervisor in question told us that the bowls were for under 3's. We asked for the bill they had the cheek to charge us £3.49 for a small carvery I wouldn't mind paying for if it was edible. I asked to speak to the manager who kept us waiting when he eventually turned up I explained the situation to him he said he would get the supervisor in question to speak to us ( who by the way needs to go back to customer service school) she was so patronising which annoyed me, I did pay for the food didn't want to but don't expect something for nothing. I've got to say the other waitresses were lovely even the one that had a telling off for getting us a bowl which we apologised for.

It was better than my last visit, but my last visit was well below the standard I had come to expect from Toby carvery

The service the last two weeks has been shocking, esp this week. We were shown to our seats and 10 mins later we still hadn't been seen to. We had to ask a girl who was about to walk straight past us for a drink and then she took ages to sort it out. They didn't come till half way though meal. And my partner and I both had refillable drinks and got charged different prices. At one point there were 4 waitresses stood around talking when people were waiting. One couple cancelled their drinks as they had not arrived by time they had almost finished dinner. It wasn't very busy today so there is no excuse. The roasters were burnt and dried out too. Not impressed. Service needs sorting out

We were sat outside with a dog. 7 of us as it was my sister's birthday, we got told to grab our own cutlery but not told where from, eventually got some. Went to get salt and vinegar. Didn't get told where from, and none on show. We went to an empty table and took the salt from there, upon doing this, Jamie, the manager reached over the shoulder of my dad, snatched the salt off my dad and said we had to ask the bar staff. When confronting the manager and saying that he knew we had already booked in advance to sit outside for 7 of us for a birthday treat (could have put cutlery etc out for us) he just said that he asked nicely (which if that was nice, I would hate to see horrible). I said to Jamie that he CLEARLY doesn't know how to treat customers. He just said, and I quote "whatever" and Turned his back to us. VERY VERY disappointed about the poor customer service from a MANAGER who should be setting an example for his other staff. Usually come here often, now I am sure that we as a family won't be back, and I will make sure that all my friends know what has happened today.

User

We went there for the unlimited breakfast we arrived at 10.30 5 adults 1 child and the first point of call was the bar to pay and order drinks the service was poor asked for a jug of water for us all and glasses was told we couldn't have a jug as they were needed! We then seated ourselves and headed up to the breakfast bar to find it half empty! Had to ask for fried eggs 3 times!.will not be returning to that particular toby carvery!

User

Very very rude host. We asked for a table of 6 and were told abruptly nothing. That was it we were then not told how long it would be maybe they just never seat 6. When we asked how long until we could have a table of 6 abruptly told 2 hours. Blatant lie after working in hospitality / catering trade I have never known a 2 hour clearly the host didn’t care. Very disappointed as have been wanting to try the venue out since the refurb.

Removing people’s reviews because you don’t like it when someone makes a complaint outstanding customer service

User

Nice food but it was a terrible atmosphere, staff didn't once crack a smile and were very rude when I asked if my 11month old and 2 year old could eat off my plate as they wouldn't eat a full meal. My four year old barely managed a full plate. As soon as we walked in literally didn't even get a hello, just met by a rude woman who seemed to be in management. Remember having a bad experience here years ago, definitely hasn't changed.

User

Me and my friend went for a freak shake and had milk with chocolate sauce instead no ice cream went to manager he says keep shake he'll bring out ice cream ummmn freak shake requires Ice cream it's not a freak shake it milk with sauce. Awful place

I and 8 friends went on a xmas/birthday meal last night to your Toby Carvery in Almondsbury, Bristol. We were not impressed with the services during and after the meal. The drinks & empty glasses for the unlimited soda fountain took ages to get to the table, we order two vegetarian options, only one was cooked (they forgot the other one) and one dessert was missed.

Now, we did not pay for the items that we never got but the service was just not up to the standard I expect, when we asked to see the manager after the meal she just did not seem to care, she explained that we had not paid for items we did not get and they were short staffed, the staffing is not my problem, if you don’t have the staff needed to run a full services then don’t open all the tables.

Why was the service substandard and response just unacceptable?

I also left my ID badge on the bench, I went back this morning and was told there was nothing, yet three of us saw it (yes, my bad for not picking it up), when I ask for CCTV to see where it went I was to no. Can I please ask you to look at the gov uk website and search for "request-cctv-footage-of-yourself"

Disgusting service here tonight! After a lovely family day out decided to pop in for a quick dinner for the children. Arrived with 2 very tired children (5 Years + 16 Months) and my mum went straight up to get my son’s dinner. I then started to sort the children out whilst my mum and cousin went to get their dinner. Our waitress arrived to take our drinks order. Everyone then started to eat their dinner, I was just waiting for the children to settle. The waitress then approached and stated that my son was eating an adults meal and would be charged for it! My mum said she did ask for a kids meal. She then went to speak to the manager, returning with her. The manager then said that she had spoken to the chef and we did not request a Childs meal. My mum stated that she did ask for one. The manager had no customer service at all and I simply suggested that I would just eat off that plate and would go get my son a Childs meal. She simply walked off! Our drinks never arrived and so we told the waitress to cancel them off the order. Why on earth would we get a 5 year old an adults plate! I struggle to get him to eat a Childs meal! Terrible terrible service. Why would a manager want to upset their customers for the sake of £3! In fact if we had been happy with the service we would have paid for drinks and pudding! Completely ruined our experience and would never return here! AVOID disgusting customer service by the manager.
