Year 11 mock exams begin in November. Pupils have now received their exam timetables.
Mock exams are an important stage in preparing for the GCSE exams. Use your half term holiday time wisely by striking a good balance between planned revision and leisure time.

Year 8 and 9 pupils are developing their enterprise and employability skills with The Ryman National Enterprise Challenge. Pupils are creating an advertising campaign with the aim of trying to encourage more girls to play football. Lots of good ideas, teamwork and creative flair on show!

Y10 had a great time at the Skills England event at Elland Road today. Lots of career stalls with useful information and advice on next steps.

Reminder - Year 11 additional Maths and English sessions starting tomorrow at 8am and continuing every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Also, additional sessions for Maths, English, Science and option subjects will be taking place between 2.20pm and 3.20pm. Please see individual student timetables for further information.

Raising £150 was a 'piece of cake' for our 6th form students at the Macmillan coffee morning. Well done and thank you to all students and staff who made a donation.

Year 11 had a great day learning all about apprenticeships at the National Apprenticeship Show in Harrogate. Lots of students signed up for further information from the many exhibitors including the Army, Navy and Mercedes.

Congratulations to all our student leaders who have been awarded Sports Leaders UK Level 1 in Sport Leadership. They have really enjoyed their time working with local primary pupils and have developed valuable leadership skills for the future. 🤗⚽🏏🏀🎖️

Lots of students have been busy on Hegarty Maths. Well done to Hamidul who spent 43 hours learning over summer, answering 2188 questions and securing a place in top set maths! Ketsia has so far answered 987 questions over 12 hours. Keep up the good work!

I was a pupil at Tong School between 1975 to 1978. Up until starting there aged 13 I had hated school. Absolutely loved it at Tong especially during my last two years there.

My son was kicked out because he stuck up for himself wich is what he was always taught. Tong school os the worst school any kid could go to i have been in numerous meetings and got nowhere. The head is a wanker who only wants to hear good things about the school, soon as you mention bad things he blows you out. The asian population of tong can do as they please, my so girlfreind is abused by asians every day and has complained about the problems she has but the school chooses to ignore this. As a parent i would say please do not send ypur child to this school, it is discusting the way people, sorry, white people are treated, the school are scared of any kind of problems with ethnic stuff. My name is mark lister and im not scared of ethnic problems. The teachers are, theyare scared of being called rasisct. Im not a rasisct but im damn well not gunna put up with the shit my son had to go through because the school IS. Tong is the worst school i have ever known and if i had known i would never have sent my children there i would rather have just put them in a muslim school as in my opinipn this is what tong school would rather be.
