One of my regular Customers, Mr John, had a really bad luck when the gear hanger snapped on his bike and the rear derailleur hit the frame and cracked the seat stay on his carbon frame bike.
The manufacturer of the bicycle could not provide any support (repair or replace the frame). I therefore decided to get involved! It was a big challenge for me to repair a carbon fibre frame. After an in-depth research into carbon fibre laminates and carbon fibre repairing methods and tec...hniques, I purchased a Carbon fibre repair kit and decided to have a go at repairing the cracked seat stay.
With the right preparation and following the correct process I managed to pull it off! The results were amazing and Mr John could not hide his enthusiasm as he received back his beloved racing bike.
