Tops Day Nurseries: Boscombe

Today at Forest School the children made their own natural paintbrushes and paint from their surroundings. They then went on a spider hunt after seeing the spider webs on the bushes and trees. 🕷️🕸️

Yesterday was World Animal Day 🐱🐶🐵 The children enjoyed using their imagination, pretending to be different animals, we also had many discussions about where animals live and what they eat. We then went on a bug hunt in the garden to find different animals.🐜🦋🐛 Take a look at the activities set up by the staff for the children to explore!

Some of the children in preschool 1 have showed an interest in boats this week. The staff team extended this interest by finding photos of boats in magazines and cutting them out. The children then created their own boats using paper and glue, and spoke about what shapes and colours they could see and also made marks in the sand while designing their boats 🛶🚤🚢

Today the children celebrated World Peace Day ☮️ Take a look at the activities the children explored !!

Recently on babies forest school, the children took a trip through the woodlands and to the seafront. 🌊 They really enjoyed making their own version of 'Going on a bear hunt' 🐻 The children saw all different animals and collected some natural materials to use back at the nursery. When they arrived at the seafront the children watched the waves in the wind and explored the texture of the sand. 🏖️

On Wednesday the children celebrated 'International talk like a pirate day' The children made their own pirate hats, completed a treasure hunt in the sand and built their own pirate ship.

On Monday we celebrated 'Respect for the aged day in Japan'. 🇯🇵️ The children really enjoyed writing words in Japanese and showing respect for the aged by giving staff pictures they had created 🖌️🖍️

Today some of the children shared their excitement about going to Monkey World. Following the children's interests the staff printed out pictures of the Monkey World sign so they could paint their own signs. The children also took part in some monkey printing and did some monkey sounds. 🐵

This week in investigators the children were inspired by Jackson Pollock's paintings and tried to create some themselves. They used pipettes to create drips and splatter marks on the paper. The children enjoyed seeing how far the paint went and experimenting what marks they could make.

Preschool 1 have been exploring recyclable materials and how different colours can be changed! 🎨
They have used different materials to make their own easels, and different natural items for mixing the paints and for making marks. 🎨
We believe in process over product and allowing the children to use their imaginations. Look how creative they have been!

To end the Summer holidays Hi 5's went on an amazing trip to Oasis Fun, where they enjoyed a game of bowling and some mini golf 🏌️‍♂️ They counted each others scores at bowling to see who the winner was at the end!
They also saw lots of different animals in the mini golf course. The children said they were huge and looked very realistic! 🐍

Tops boscombe has been amazing, both of my children have attended this nursery since they were babies. All the staff have been excellent with both of them. Furthermore, they have always been great with me too! Every time, i have needed child care at short notice, they have always tried there best to be accommodating.

My youngest son is leaving to start shool in september, and i have already chosen tops to be my childr care for mornings and aftershool pick ups. Tops you are and have been fantastic, thank you! Xx

My son really enjoys nursery here. They are professional and child focused. There are a wide range of activities to help children learn and develop their skills. The staff are all lovely, and supportive. Plus the longer opening hours mean I can return to my previous job in shift work. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has been at Tops I Boscombe since he was one year old and will soon be leaving to start school in September. Throughout this time the care and attention provided in all classes has been fantastic. They've done a great job and will be greatly missed by us both.

My little girl goes to this nursery. She loves it there a d thrives from it. She looks forward to going there. Couldn't ask for a better nursery or staff

I just want to pass on our thanks to all members of staff for supporting Kai through these early years, encouraging him to explore, increasing his confidence, allowing him to grow with boundaries!



The endless cuddles when he has felt insecure, upset or hurt!



We couldn’t have asked for better care on our behalf, thank you for making returning to work as easy as possible.
