Tor Bay Harbour Authority & Beaches Description

With 16 square miles of open sea and 22 miles of coastline running from Mackerel Bay, just North of Maidencombe all the way to Sharkham Point, South of Berry Head, Tor Bay Harbour is one of Britain's finest coastal water-sport locations.

The Harbour nestles within the western shores of Lyme Bay on the UK’s south-west peninsula. The whole of Tor Bay Harbour is managed by the Tor Bay Harbour Authority, a department of Torbay Council and includes the enclosed harbours of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.

We are developing proposals to introduce a Northern Arm to Brixham Harbour, this would allow Torbay Harbour to replace the existing swinging moorings on the western side of the outer harbour with pontoon berthing and also create an additional 190 new berths which would take up less space than currently used.
For us to further develop this proposal we need your support by completing the attached short survey.

Footage from our friends at Skyflicks showing the affects of the waves crashing over the breakwater at Brixham Harbour during #BeastFromTheEast back in 2018 and then fast forward to the repairs in 2019 that are underway and nearing completion.
