This week we said a very sad goodbye to our wonderful nurse Renuka. She’s been with us almost 3 years and will be missed by all the team. We all wish her lots of luck!

Unless performed by a dentist, any tooth whitening IS illegal. Please be careful and see your dentist if you want whiter teeth!

Our lovely hygienist Linda still has some spaces available for tomorrow (Wednesday 28th November) Call our team on 01303-255559 now to book in and be sparkly in time for Christmas!

We are looking for a motivated, and eager decontamination nurse to join our very busy team. Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given, but Hep B vaccination is vital and evidence will be needed.

Today, Team TDC are taking part in the #BlueLipSelfie to raise awareness of Mouth Cancer! We are also selling the Mouth Cancer pin for £1 and all monies will go to the Oral Health Foundations charity for Mouth Cancer! 💙

1 in 55 males and 1 in 108 females in the UK will be diagnosed with oral cancer. 46% of these cancers are preventable. #mouthcancerawarenessmonth

Mouth Cancer Awareness Month
6000 people will be diagnosed with oral cancer each year. This includes the young, old, smokers and non-smokers. Without early detection, mouth cancer will be fatal for half this many people. It’s vital to attend your appointments and have you soft tissues screen during your examination.

November is the month for the Oral Health Foundation’s campaign to raise awareness for Mouth Cancer. TDC Folkestone will be supporting this campaign throughout the month to help raise awareness!

Today, the team said a very sad goodbye to Dr Raza who leaves us today for new adventures! Good luck Raza, you will be missed very much!

Next month is Oral Cancer Awareness month. Incidences of Oral cancer have increased rapidly in the last ten years due to lifestyles evolving; if you smoke and drink alcohol your risk of developing the disease increases. It’s important to attend for your regular checkups if you don’t have many (or any) teeth as your dentist will examine the soft tissues for any signs of oral cancer.

Meet the two newest members of the TDC Folkestone family!
On the left is Laura, our new full time receptionist who joined us this month. Laura has never worked in dentistry before so has had a lot of information to take in but so far she’s picked it up very fast and has settled into the team and reception department very well.
... And on the right is Emma, she is an experienced and qualified dental nurse who joined us last month. Emma works part time with us and is mostly working alongside Dr Shilpa.

We haven’t shared our failed appointments for a while! So here are the figures for the entire month of September and for the last week!

Today is World Mental Heath Day. We see many patients here at TDC who’s mental health is related to their dental health; it could be an extreme fear of dentists, or patients who are unable to effectively take care of their oral heath needs due to their own mental health conditions. We’d like to assure all our patients we will do our best to accommodate your needs and provide the best standard of care we can without any judgement. We understand that visiting the dentist is a nerve wracking experience at the best of times, but all staff endeavour to support all our patients at all times.

Very friendly staff and feel at ease with dentist

They are very good, and particularly good with nervous patients like me :)

I would rather go in for a piano smashing competition than visit the dentist but as I was in pure and unbearable agony (so much so it was effecting my ability to sing) I made an appointment.



I can honestly say that they were amazing from start to finish. Sarah (the dentist) made me feel totally at ease and relaxed.

Had an emergency yesterday. Dentist was so nice. Receptionist very compassionate and understanding. Natasha. THANK YOU.!

Excellent!!!! I had two fillings (with no injections) never felt a thing! And also had a clean,I was made to feel very comfortable and at ease,I would recommend them to anyone 5 star.......

Dr Irina Sarbu and her dental nurse were absolutely wonderful today, really put me at ease and talked me through every step of my treatment today (tooth extraction)

I was very nervous but would definitely go back ����

As an extreme hater of dentists and a complete wreck when it's dentist time I can honestly say I have always been made to feel at ease by the dentists and their assistants even if at times it takes them three times as long to do my treatment 👌

Total dental care receptionists are absolutely rude. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. They are extremely argumentative and disrespectful. If it were not for the excellent service given by Dr Tash, I would have left. Dr Tash is an asset to the firm. He is always professional and courteous at all times. It's a shame the same cannot be said for the receptionists at Folkestone.
