Something we always do :-)
Decorating our 'cress head' pots and putting our seeds in to grow... loving the choice of one of our little ones who decided their 'face' just needed eyes.... (message has been sent to the parent of this 'unique' child who preferred their version to my concept lol) 😂
Decorating cakes to be 'faces' :-)
Our butterflies have arrived and are quickly changing due to the warm weather - the children love to look at them throughout the day and see how much they are growing :-)
Lots of imaginative role play and dressing up :-)
Water painting :-)
Mark making - 'tracing' lines on the calendar and doing their own 'writing' in a card / looking at numbers and time on our clock face
We loved this 'toy' that came from home - lots of talking about the different colours we could see and guesing what colour would come next :-)
Koals Capers is a very popular game here at the moment - it helps promote matching patterns, sharing, turn taking, counting how many cards we all have, rolling (not throwing!) dice, following and understanding rules - loving the older ones help the younger ones on their turns too :-)
Toys and books that came from home to visit us recently :-)
Thank you to 'nanny Irene' for the magnet to add to our collection from her birthday trip away and she in turn would like to say thank you to the children for making her birthday so special and for their lovely birthday hugs, cards and gifts :-)🎉
One of our parents brought in their 'special shells' from home - the children were fascinated and we looked at how the colours changed when water was added and what might have lived inside them - thank you so much for sharing them with us :-)
Exploring our shells - we loved discovering how many were the same shape but so many different colours - lots of conversations :-)
Exploring our shell collection :-)
one of our mindees celebrated their birthday - thank you to their mummy for bringing in the lovely cakes to share with their friends :-) 🎉
A few random general photos from this week - one of our little ones adores playing with another ones hair (she doesnt mind when he is gentle 😂), using elastic bands on peg boards, playing peek a boo (with lots of smiles and giggles and was child initiated) and having fun in the garden (when the weather is nice) with our bubble machine :-)
Thank you for the magnets to add to our collection - we look forward to seeing where everyone goes over the summer :-)
