Tots&Junior June 2019 Newsletter It’s started off as a very wet June let’s hope that the sun peeks out very soon. The children have been enjoying exploring the outside area in the rain and investigating, we have had so many lovely learning experiences and the communication has been amazing! We understand that the children need to be well covered up when going out in the rain, we have a limited amount of waterproof jackets and trousers that the children can use. We kindly ask ...that you ensure your child has a pair of wellies to stay at the setting and if you have waterproof trousers and jackets please send your child in them.
Group Photo’s Monday 1st July We received proofs of the group photographs we had taken on June 3rd, unfortunately we weren’t as pleased as them as we thought we would be!. Fortunately for us the photographer has agreed to come back on July 1st and we are going to have a different format!. If you would like your child to be in the photo’s please come along with them at 10:00 a.m.
Transition Forms The practitioners are currently working on your child’s Transition forms that will be sent to their new school. Over the next few weeks we will be sharing them with you and asking for your thoughts on your child.
‘Rock up’ at the Lakes ‘Rock up’ are hosting sessions for set schools at different dates to come along and meet children that will be attending their new school!. I have put a post on the Tots and Juniors Facebook Page which shows all the dates.
The Front of Tots&Juniors Please can you ensure that your children are not running or playing on the neighbours drives whilst waiting to come in. We have received complaints from neighbours worried about damage to their property. Thankyou Focus of learning: Walks and Outings We are currently in the process of organising a focussed learning experience to support area’s of the Early Years Curriculum and the children’s interests. Mandy will be sending out letters to parent/carers with the dates and information soon, we will need parent/carers volunteers so if you are willing to help out that would be great! Please look out on Tapestry and Facebook for more information!.
**********Party in the Park************* Date: Saturday 13th July Venue: Hall Park, Rushden We will be hosting our stall to promote Tots&Juniors! Lots of fun things to do!.
Toys from home We have noticed that some children have been bringing in toys from home again, please can you check that they are not bringing them in with them. Thankyou.

****School Leavers**** Parents/carers we will be sharing with you your child's Transition forms over the next week, this information is valuable to the school that your child will attend.Alongside the teachers coming in and seeing the children and talking to keyworkers this gives the school a great starting point in how to support the children and their individual needs. We would love for you to share any relevant information on your child in the ' voice of the parents/carers' section of the Transition form ( as you know your child the best!). Thank you in advance. ☔☔☔🌧️🌧️🌧️☔Pre-scho ol Parents/carers 🌧️☔☔☔🌧️🌧️☔☔ As we are having such awful weather we are asking that you send your child in appropriate wet weather clothing please. If you have waterproof coats and trousers please can you bring these along with you. For those children who haven't got wellies at the setting please can you bring some along with you and a spare pair of shoes👟. The children benefit so much from outdoor play and exploring in the rain encourages investigating, kn...owledge and understanding the world and lots of communication and predicting. Plus the children absolutely love to be out splashing in puddles, seeing the effects of powder paint mixing with the rain water, looking at patterns and covering a whole host of areas of the Early Years curriculum. Southend Junior School were amazing, bringing in £1123.80 of the funds ❤️ A special thank you to Kelly Durham at the school who went above and beyond to support us.
... HOW DID WE SPEND THIS FUNDRAISING...£1908.00 went to Cancer Research £1000.00 went to the Children’s Cancer Ward where Shannon was treated at Leicester Royal Infirmary. £2000.00 has allowed Shannon & her family to look forward to a well deserved holiday abroad ☀️

***REMINDER*** Holiday Club For today’s Hall Park trip please remember waterproofs and wellies! 1pm pick up/drop offs will be at the big tree opposite Rushden Hall. 2pm & 3pm pick ups will be at the main gate opposite Dominos Pizzas.
