Really lovely place to stay, and the staff were so friendly.

The room was super clean and spacious... and an added bonus of a free upgrade from a double double room to a suite. This was a lovely surprise and topped off our anniversary weekend.

Breakfast was fab, variety of cooked and cold options

Efficient check in and out system, and a brillaint location to Spinningfields etc.

Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

Thank you for a lovely stay

User

I stayed at the Townhouse Hotel, Manchester for one night on Monday 26th March 2018. Having booked my room at a last minute discounted rate through a third party site, I wasn't sure what to expect upon check-in. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find the room that I had been allocated (Classic Double) was of a very high standard. All fixtures, fittings and room amenities were in good repair and the room itself very spacious, with views over Portland Street. Despite being on a busy road, noise reduction measures (window glazing) worked perfectly well. The (King Size) bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was of a good size with bath/rain shower and a good selection of toiletries. Free wi-fi was of a high standard with a fast connection and good bandwidth.

Check-in and Check-out were fast, efficient and friendly. Whilst I didn't use the bar/restaurant whilst staying, it looked to be of a high standard with plenty of options.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Townhouse Manchester, and very much look forward to staying again.

User

Hotel was amazing. Cannot fault it at all. We had a small bit of a wait for our room to be ready but went for drinks in the bar so was all good. The lady on reception (didn't get her name) was fabulous. She seemed to be new or in training. Lovely stay and would definitely stay again

User

Had a lovely meal here. The food was amazing and the staff were really attentive and friendly. Would come back again.

User

Friendly staff both at reception and in the bar/restaurant area. Very spacious bedroom with every need catered for including easy chair with footrest and table with two chairs if using room service. Bed was super comfy and the pillows nice and soft. Bathroom was spotless with tub and separate shower with complimentary toiletries. Lashings of hot water and really useful short shower attachment on the bath for rinsing hair. Great breakfast and cheaper when booked before midnight. Would definitely stay here again and it is literally just a good five minutes from Oxford Road railway station.

User

First time today for afternoon tea with my daughter and mum.. Absolutely lovely. Fresh sandwiches with delicious fillings, a variety of cakes and scones with jam and cream.. Staff very attentive but not overly.. Nothing was too much trouble.. Thankyou

User

Awesome hotel quality rooms beds unbelievable staff are so helpful and friendly the foods was 5too top it off got a massive bar with good choice of lagers spirits and cocktails defo going to stay there again

User

Stayed here in the superior king room cost me £130, it was a lovely, spacious room got little extras two mini bottles of wine, chocolates and water. I stayed as we were on a night out with friends.. they stayed in same hotel and paid £80 a room and their room wasn't much different. So for the extra £50 the only difference was the littles extras. Little dissapointed.

The hotel was clean, and very inviting, staff were helpful and friendly. Great location.

User

Me and my daughter had afternoon tea here 21/7/18 it was lovely.

On arrival we where greeted with a smile and taken to our table.

Service was good and staff kept on coming over to see if everything was ok and if we wanted more tea.

The Townhouse has a lovely relaxing invironment and lovely deco, and the afternoon tea was delicious.

We will definitely be returning to the Townhouse again in the not to distance future.

User

I must have walked past the Townhouse Hotel on so many occasions and never really noticed it was there. My wife saw a Wowcher offer for afternoon tea and we

Booked. It was really nice and the service was excellent. Now I know where it is we’ll be back

User

“Afternoon tea” consisted of all of about one sandwich between two, scones with something that was apparently clotted cream (it had the texture of powder), a tiny cake and macaron each, a glass of the worst prosecco I’ve ever had, and they took 5-10mins after the food arrived, to bring our tea and coffee.

As there was so little to eat in front of us, I ordered a cheeseburger as well. This took well over 20mins to arrive and was “presented” on a plate from a greasy spoon, with a load of chips just chucked on there. Unfortunately, the patty in the burger was worse than something you’d find from a burger van.

I don’t normally complain but when I mentioned it to the waitress whilst paying, she insisted on getting somebody over. So she brought over the head chef. I told him what I thought and then he decided to get the manager. So the manager wanders over with an attitude and tells me he’ll offer 50% off. I explained I wasn’t bothered about that, they should simply be offering a better quality of food and service considering the way the hotel portrays itself. Most of the staff were lovely, but they took way too long to serve us considering there was only myself, my friend and two other people in the entire restaurant.

User

Loveley hotel, good location, friendly attentive staff. Special mention to the "Bolton lad" night bar tender who was very helpful to our small group of 50 somethings who'd probably had enough already but served us with a smile. Rooms spacious and with everything you need for a night or 3. Breakfast was, frankly, poor, hot trays were slow to be topped up, hot food was luke warm at best and dried up not helped by cold plates. Wouldn't avoid but better offerings in the city.

User

Arrived at 4pm on Saturday to be informed that our room wasn't ready. When we were eventually allowed into the room there was an overwhelming smell of bleach with no means to air the room. Not only was our room located right by the lifts, it was also on the noisiest street ever. Neither of us had a good nights sleep due to all the comings and goings.

User

Worst Afternoon tea I've ever had. I've had the pleasure of going to malmaison and other decent places and the food and customer service have been excellent. We were served by two girls who had a face on the whole time. I asked for extra drinks and one of the girls told me it was going to cost extra like I couldn't afford to pay for extra drinks! False false advertising on what you're getting on wowcher. £19 for the afternoon tea we had, I would have rather paid £30 to get something a little bit more decent. We also then asked for kids menu and were told more than half of what was on the kids menu isn't available as changes were being made to the menu (even though I specifically asked before booking if there was going to be a kids menu available) Never ever ever again will I come here to eat!

User

Lovely staff but not great value for money, cakes dry, minimal sandwiches
