What an amazing choice for a weekend getaway with the girls. The lodge itself is amazing. It's modern but still feels traditional, spacious but cosy. The setting is lovely; we spotted quite a few red squirrels and other wildlife from the lodge! The hot tub was great fun and adds a feeling of luxury to your stay. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into the lodge. We couldn't fault it and all want to just live there forever! Can't wait to go back! Xx

We spent a couple of nights here earlier this week and we had the most wonderful break. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and is really luxurious. Everything is available that you should need and the setting is lovely. We especially liked the fact that the lodge has a little gate at the top of the stairs, which was great for our dog to wander around but not get out, particularly when we were enjoying the hot tub at night. All mod cons are fitted, with a particularly lovely little bathroom. It's really roomy and very comfortable. The bedding gave us the best night's sleep ever - we were so comfy! There is a lovely little walk nearby with some gorgeous views and our dog loved it. I haven't been well and we booked this last minute as a break away from everything. Kate was absolutely fantastic and gave us all the information we needed for booking, messaging us as soon as we got back to see if we had a relaxing break. I can't recommend this enough. It was exactly what we needed and wouldn't hesitate to book up again. It's also a lovely part of the country and everyone we met was really friendly.

We spent 3 days at Tranquility Lodge absolutely loved it despite the snow and rain Everyone had a great time the hot tub was brilliant very relaxing We had a family wedding nearby and found the lodge ideal with everything we needed lovely and warm and plenty room inside for all the family We explored the woods with our grandchildren and were lucky to see a deer and lots of red squirrels We can't wait to go back the views are amazing we found the lake and rope swing .Bring your wellies if exploring the woods

From the minute I contacted Kate to see if she had any availability for August she's been amazing answered all our questions and she even messaged this evening to see if we'd had a nice holiday all in all I would 100% recommend tranquillity lodges xx

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend break. The Ivanhoe lodge was absolutely immaculate and beautiful throughout. Initially on arrival there was a small issue with the hot tub that was rectified immediately and with absolute top notch service!!

We booked both lodges for all my family and our dogs. We had 5 children with us ranging in ages from 5 to 17. We came to celebrate my 40th birthday but almost didn't get there because of the heavy snow but we decided to still make the journey. Scariest drive of my life but we made it and I'm so glad we did. We had the whole site to ourselves. Lodges were lovely and warm and had everything we needed. The dogs and kids loved the snow (and the big kids lol) we had a walk into otterburn village and had a meal at the William de Percy pub which was gorgeous. We had a look around otterburn hall grounds too. Hot tubs were amazing! Loved sitting in them on a night while it was snowing, it was beautiful. Would definitely return but for longer. We all hoped to be snowed in so we didn't have to leave haha xx

On our way home after spending a week in Tranquility Lodge. The lodge was lovely, and so spacious. We had such an amazing time. No negative comments what so ever. It’s a long way from our home in Suffolk. We do plan to return. Thank you for having us x

Me my other half, 2 friends, and our 2 poodles stayed here for 4 nights in Sept in tranquillity lodge. It was amazing. Such a beautiful cabin, in a lovely area. The hot tub was fab even on the cold nights, we stayed in there for hours. The enclosed decking meant we could let our dogs out to play without worry. And the grass surrounding the cabin was great to let them out to toilet. Right behind the cabin was the woodland that was brilliant for off lead walking, there was also a couple of big ponds to walk around too.

Everything was exactly as described and more than we expected. The maintenance man came twice to check the chemical levels of the hotub to make sure everything was as it should be, he was polite and friendly, as was his dog who my two enjoyed playing with.

The local area had dog friendly pubs and cafes, and a brilliant well stocked shop which we were surprised to find when the area is so rural. One evening we took a trio to kielder observatory which was a lovely and interesting evening out, and it was only about a 20min drive away.

The booking was simple, and straightforward. Kate was great and even let us swap dates with no hassle when work got in the way of our original date.

We are now in talks between ourselves for booking a couple of weeks next year.

We would like to thank you again for the pleasure of our stay. And we look forward to coming again x

Just got home we've had a week in the lodge and loved it. Everything was so nice and clean, the lodge is very spacious. very nice walk through the country side into the village were there's a shop and couple of pubs were dogs are welcome. Lovely walks in the area or just a short drive away for both steady and serious walkers, then back to the lodge for the hot tub. Perfect I will definitely be going back.

Just come back from a 4 night stay in Tranquility Lodge, I absolutely loved it! The cabin was beautiful, the surrounding area was beautiful...very quiet but that’s exactly what we were looking for. Over the moon it snowed while we were there too, it made everywhere look even more amazing!! Only one thing could of made our stay better...and that’s if we had a dog � maybe we’ll have one for our next stay!! Will definitely be staying again and would definitely recommend! Kate was great too...answering all questions really quickly via messenger � massive thumbs up from us ��

Great lodge everything you needed was provided, hot tub spot on and cleaned every morning, very clean and spacious couldn’t fault the place at all, will deffo be back again, my husband didn’t want to come home � xx

Back to work today after a fabulous 6 day break in the Tranquility Lodge. Me, the other half and the 3 dogs can't recommend this place enough. Great decor, facilities and a dog walk on site. Just lovely

The lodge was clean, tidy, and all in working order, lovely and cosy on our first night, and birthday celebrations on our 2nd night. Free wifi, all amenities required were there. Only down fall was some one from another lodge was parked in our space and with the weather meant us gettin stuck in the mud.... but that was an experience in its self ha ha.

Absolutely amazing night away with a group of girls. Absolutely everything you need there for any occasion! Opportunities for long walks with the dogs and kids right in your doorstep, hot tub and fridge big enough to fit in all your alcohol for a boozy night/weekend away, or its so peaceful and quiet if a quieter break away is needed. Facilities absolutely amazing even had soap powder, washing up liquid, loads of cutlery, tea and coffee all left to be used at no extra cost. TV has plenty of channels on and the wifi was great, never once lost signal or slowed with 6 people using it too. Would highly recommend at least one night away although there so much to do in the surrounding area I'm already considering a week away there with the dogs.

7 of us & a dog have had a wonderful bank holiday weekend staying in the Ivanhoe Lodge. It has all the creature comforts of home we didn't want to leave. The weather was very kind to us which meant we ate & spent time outside on the decking at any given opportunity and of course we went into the hot tub as much as possible too.

The lodge is situated in beautiful surroundings and only 20 mins walk into the village.

There are some woodlands behind the lodges which makes for a lovely walk - go and find the tyre swing. It's great fun!!

It's very quiet & peaceful at the cabin all day and night. A must if you need to get away from it all and relax and unwind.

Highly recommend it.

Returned from a long weekend in the Ivanhoe. Our nearly 2 year old grand-daughter had a brilliant time in the woods with the dog.

One recommendation would be a more powerful shower, the rest of the amenities in the cabin were good.

We had a good time and enjoyed our stay, thank you to Kate for allowing us a little extra time on the last day to get organised to leave, the dog was able to enjoy one last walk in the woods before the long car journey home.

Facilities absolutely amazing even had soap powder, washing up liquid, loads of cutlery, tea and coffee all left to be used at no extra cost. TV has plenty of channels on and the wifi was great, never once lost signal or slowed with 6 people using it too. Would highly recommend at least one night away although there so much to do in the surrounding area I'm already considering a week away there with the dogs.

7 of us & a dog have had a wonderful bank holiday weekend staying in the Ivanhoe Lodge. It has all the creature comforts of home we didn't want to leave. The weather was very kind to us which meant we ate & spent time outside on the decking at any given opportunity and of course we went into the hot tub as much as possible too.

The lodge is situated in beautiful surroundings and only 20 mins walk into the village.

There are some woodlands behind the lodges which makes for a lovely walk - go and find the tyre swing. It's great fun!!

It's very quiet & peaceful at the cabin all day and night. A must if you need to get away from it all and relax and unwind.

Highly recommend it.

Returned from a long weekend in the Ivanhoe. Our nearly 2 year old grand-daughter had a brilliant time in the woods with the dog.

One recommendation would be a more powerful shower, the rest of the amenities in the cabin were good.

We had a good time and enjoyed our stay, thank you to Kate for allowing us a little extra time on the last day to get organised to leave, the dog was able to enjoy one last walk in the woods before the long car journey home.
