I love my 2019 Louise Hay calendar. I will be posting my favourite inspiring quotes from it so watch this space. This one is close to my heart as it underpins the work I do as a hypnotherapist. ‘Every cell in my body responds to every thought I think’. In the past the time betwen christmas an New Year was always a time I would think about life and what I didn’t have and as New Years Eve approached I would decide that this is the year that will be better e.g. I will meet the man of my dreams, get a better job, have more money, lose weight, be healthier and the list went on. While I did get some great things in my life with this approach I was not happy until I changed my deeper beliefs about myself. Now I feel good about mys...elf I don’t have that sinking feeling as the New Year approaches and I don’t need to make New Years resolutions anymore because I’m happy in myself. I do set goals all year round though but it’s not based on feeling that my life isn’t good. So instead of New Years resolution I’d love everyone to make a resolution to find out the root cause and get free from what’s stopping them getting the life they want. Happy New Year and wishing you all a wonderful 2019.

Loving yourself is the essence of good health.

Just close your eyes and take some deep breaths in and out, then when you are ready, think of the most loving positive thoughts about yourself that you can think of. Hold these and repeat this as often as possible.

So you really are as young as you feel (although we are not really surprised by this finding are we)? To help yourself, try to eat well, exercise and do fun activities that make you feel young again and most importantly stop saying negative things about your age to yourself and others like ‘I’m too old’, ‘at my age’ etc.

Try restricting your eating window. This is when you eat your first meal of the day at 10am or later and have your last meal of the day by 8pm (if that is too hard then try between 8am and 8pm). Weight loss is one benefit but getting your blood sugar under control will benefit other health issues too. Please note that if you are diabetic or have a current medical condition you must check with your doctor first before undertaking this kind of food restriction.

Avocados are a powerhouse of nutrients and good fats that are great for your heart, brain, digestion, blood sugar levels, weight loss, arthritis and more. I think they taste great too, what about you? :-)
