Rejuvenating and breathing new life into a tired looking train station whilst helping ex-offenders integrate back into society.
We’re particularly proud of this initiative in partnership with On the Out and Northern Rail.
We love the design of the mural and think it brings some much needed colour to Salford Central station platform (although we are a little biased!).
... What do you think…like it?

You probably see the black and white 'M' logo EVERYWHERE - but does everyone know which organisation it represents?
We've been out and about speaking to some lovely folk in Greater Manchester to find out what they think...

⚠️ Major roadworks are in place on Regent Road ⚠️
To reduce your journey time, can you:
🛣️ Use the M60 clockwise to avoid the roadworks?
... 🅿️ Use a Park and Ride site, in particular those at the Etihad, Ladywell or Sale?
⌚️ Make your journey at a different time, before 7.30am or after 9am?
🚴‍♀️ Cycle, walk or use public transport?

We think it's worth re-sharing this story about 'Bridge The Gap' on #SuicidePreventionDay.
Lisa Barnes has decorated around 20 bridges with messages of love & support along the M60, M56 & M62. She hopes to expand the initiative across the country and provide people with packs so they can decorate bridges where they live.
It's thought that 12 lives have been saved by this project.
... Well done and thank you, Lisa!

According to the Bee in the City MCR app, 'The Yellow Bee' outside Selfridges in Exchange Square is the most visited sculpture on the trail so far. It really is a sight to BEEhold!
Have you been on a bee hunt? How many bees have you caught? 🐝There's a whole hive to find!
Head to Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink stop to visit our sculpture, #ManchestersBuzz. Or, check out the #ManchesterDoodleBee outside Piccadilly Station.

We’re looking to get whole families out and about on two wheels with the launch of a new cycle training scheme.
We're offering free, two-hour sessions led by a professional instructor, who will travel to family homes and tailor each session to suit their needs.
Parents will be taught how to lead safe cycling trips on the road, how to ride protectively with children and children will be taught how they can travel safely on the roads to ensure that everyone is comfortable ridin...g with traffic.

One of our customers, Kat, got in touch to ask if we could reserve a tram carriage to take her and her bridal party from Stretford to St Peter’s Square for her wedding ceremony.
We thought this was such a lovely idea during Manchester Pride weekend (who doesn’t love a wedding!) and we just couldn’t say no. So today we surprised Kat with exclusive use of our #RainbowTram!
The wedding was taking place at Manchester Register Office, close to St Peter's Square Metrolink stop, wh...ere wife-to-be Aimee was waiting.
Congratulations to Kat and Aimee – we hope everyone enjoyed their #Pride ride!

How did the ending of the Ice Age some 10,000 years ago help shape the city of Salford? No? Us either!
If you want to find out, head over to Salford Central station to see the new archaeological exhibit which is now on display.
We joined our partners from Salford City Council, The University of Salford and Northern earlier this week for the official opening.
... The exhibit is now proudly on display at the station, bringing the history of #Salford to life!
Take a look at our Facebook album on the day and the wonderful work which is now on show. If you’re around the station later today, let us know your thoughts!

Bus fell of track and made me laugh , bus broke down on track made me laugh bus broke down off tracks made me laugh to much entertainment in 1 small 4 mile dog walking track hahah

Looked at website for 408 from Shaw to Stalybridge, website states a bus runs every hour arrived in Oldham and the driver informed it does not continue to Stalybridge, checked timetable in bus station, no bus till 18.45, and they want people to use public transport, feeling annoyed

User

Been waiting to get on a bus on the park and ride in Leigh had to watch 3 busses drive by as they had 2 prams on in the end I phoned your helpline to see if I could leave my car and walk to the main bus station there is no information at the stop if you can go to other stops. there should be more room on the lower floor for prams and wheel chair 2 spaces is not enough. Finally on a bus now and the driver just let 3 prams :( after we have been refused on 3 busses

User

shocking they have removed the bus my son gets to work and home again, and is now on a final warning at work!! Well done TFGM, you absolute idiots who have no regard for people who actually use the bus to go about their daily life!!!

User

Way we of tax payers money need sort your priortys out rather than blow the money ....... can't wait to put nails down on this new track I hate it and I'll do what I can to mess it up

User

Traffic chaos

Incompetent people

This strike has caused a lot of distruption for those who rely on public transport to get to work/school & to go shopping or to appointments. Also First Manchester have gone about advertising this strike the wrong way they have only put in on their social media pages instead of local papers & putting notices up at bus stations. If it was not for my friend who is a driver at Queens Rd or my partners son who is a driver at oldham we wouldn't know about it. It was lucky that a work friend of my partner offered to pick him up so he could get to work in Rochdale this morning.

User

Probably the worst public transport network in the world

User

Manchester it one BIG joke

For to many bus

User

Considering there are no trams running out off Eccles and it is recommended to catch the 33 the service is the worst of any first bus I have ever used. They never run to time there is at least 2 an hour simply missing from the time table. I understand they use an extremely busy route in Manchester but they do not just run late the do not run at all. The service from Eccles is great and really convenient but out of manchester is shocking
