Production/ Packinghouse Team Leader £25,000 , on site canteen, auto enrolement pension Permanent Rotating shift (working 7 out of 14 days) 6am to 6pm Friendly progressive working environment
A great opportunity to join the packing department of this Fresh Food produce company where you will read the operational production teams. You will be involved with the day to day effective leadership of a multi-skilled production team to drive for superior results, exceed KPI targets, and strive for continual year on year improvements.
Key accountabilities & responsibilities:
·Lead, motivate and develop your team, ensure planned production requirements and quality standards are met whilst ensuring all Health and Safety and Food Safety, Customer and Company standards and guidelines are followed. ·Review team performance alongside Operations Manager ·Identify areas for improvement and encourage progress of individual Line Leaders ·Achieve shift KPI targets e.g. for line efficiencies and material usage variances and absenteeism ·Ensure all customer orders are met in full within the right time scales using the right quantity of labour. ·Develop team working across the factory applying continuous improvement principles. ·Ensure daily safety inspections and audits are carried out, and issues raised to the Operations Manager ·Contribute with the planning, organisation, operation and installation of all new processes and equipment within the factory. ·To plan and manage your teams timekeeping, absence, holiday and training to ensure achievement of main accountabilities. ·Ensure all training requirements of staff on the lines are communicated efficiently to the appropriate Manager and the Operations Manager. ·Drive effective start-ups and minimise downtime
Key skills and knowledge required:
Excellent communication skills Excellent English language skills Proven experience of leading an operational team Experience of working in the FMCG or Fresh Produce industry is ideal, Knowledge of UK/European Health & Safety Regulations Knowledge of UK/European Food Safety Regulations

The company are a family run engineering firm who are experiencing significant growth at present. They are looking to recruit a permanent employee to replace someone retiring within the busy machine shop. This role could be permanent from day one and the client offer long term stability and the opportunity to progress within the business.
As a Manual skilled Machinist you will work 40 hours per week on a day shift. Overtime is available.
You must be able to read engineering drawings to tight tolerances, set up and run your machine with limited supervision. You must have strong quality inspection skills including use of gauges and be familiar producing one off and small batch parts in a targeted production environment.
The successful candidate should ideally be apprentice trained however not essential motivated and highly skilled and have a proven background in producing precision parts and needs to have good communication skills, work well as part of a team and be able to use their own initiative to resolve problems.
This role is commutable from Northampton, Wellingborough, Daventry, Kettering and Corby, Milton Keynes
