Well what can I say....As always a wonderful time at The Travellers Rest !!!! fantastic food, first class service and wonderful atmosphere. The staff were as always friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble, would and do recommend this pub always xx

We stopped at the Travellers Rest ( Tregarrian ) last night for an evening meal after a lovely day out, I normally do not write many reviews but I have made an exception as the food, atmosphere and staff made it an evening to remember well worth a visit, my wife had a Caesar salad and I a mixed grill which were cooked to perfection and the staff were polite and attentive. Needless to say we will definitely be returning.

We originally stopped at another pub beforehand and thankfully got out of there before ordering food (!) we headed over to this gorgeous pub and my goodness it was the right choice!! Fantastic staff and incredible food, we hope to be back in the future �

We had booked a Father’s Day roast (carvery) and it was bleddy ansum! Everything was perfectly cooked and the roasties were crispy deliciousness. Service was grand and the prices were very reasonable. My other half is pretty difficult to please In the Sunday lunch department and he was a very happy chap. Especially when he was given a complimentary bottle of ale to take home - you guys know the way to a mans heart, such a nice thing to do for Father’s Day �

Would’ve loved to stay for much longer and try some puds, but our almost 3 year old was in serious need of the park and we were pretty full up! Thanks to you all, we will be back.

Visited on Friday evening with our little boy who’s three years old. We got there at five, only to be told food does not start until 6. We ventured out to Lewinick lodge, which for the £108, the food was far from great. We returned to Travellers rest on Saturday for lunch, and have to say, we paid less than half the price and the food was amazing. Great food and reasonable prices. Will be recommending this place to all friends and family who venture down to Cornwall frequently.

Very nice and clean place to eat. Lovely location with ample parking. Food was excellent and staff we're very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend and definately eat here again 10/10 �even got a chance to say hello to the local chickens �

This is a great pub that sadly I don't get to visit enough myself as we run a busy camping site near bye. Although we do send lots of people their way .Very friendly and helpful staff and always great food to offer and a well priced too . Keep up the good work all and look forward to our next vist

My husband and I were married on the 27/1/18 and held our wedding reception at the Travellers Rest for 35 guests. Natalie ( Landlady) planned everything from the beginning for us, including the buffet, which was superb. There were many compliments from our guests regarding the reception, Natalie spent the afternoon with us making sure everything was running smoothly, even made an announcement of our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble.

We must add our thanks to the chef who prepared all the delicious food.

Lovely pub, honest and friendly staff. We hadn't booked a table but we were seated and told there was a wait. It was well worth it as the food was delicious!

Had the most wonderful Father’s Day roast today at the Trav! The staff were fantastic as usual, the roast was just one of the best we have had. Everything cooked to perfection, that beef..... yuuuuum! Thankyou so much for fitting us in at such short notice, such an enjoyable afternoon xx

Great food- and I mean great. Two fussy kids ate so much that even they didnt have room for pudding. The pub is lovely. Busy but relaxing and welcoming.

We went as a group of 30 and staff were organised and friendly. There wasnt a long wait for food and service at the tables and the bar was quick.

Can't wait for our next visit when we are back in beautiful cornwall... wish this was our local. �

Fantastic pub, great food and ale. We have two kids and the owners and staff can’t do enough to help make your visit a pleasurable. Great place all round.

Fab lunch here today with my parents and young daughter. Great food, really friendly staff, and some wonderful kid-friendly touches - we loved the toy box and some carefully selected age appropriate toys, great high chairs and plastic plate for the little one. Highly recommended and we'll definitely go back!!

Christmas Eve with Christmas songs and a visit from a Santa’s Elf. Great Christmas meal of Turkey (other options available) roast parsnips and potatoes, red cabbage etc. Really festive and fun atmosphere. The staff were busy but friendly and always smiling. They made us feel really welcome. Would I go again? I certainly would. I can recommend this place to anyone either in a party or alone; with children or dogs or both. However if you want somewhere bland dull and non inclusive this is not the place for you.

Called in on the off chance in Friday night for a table for two and they managed to accomodate us on table that was reserved but not for later in rhe evening .



I was undecided what to have but noticed the pie seemed to be popular so settled for that with veg and new potatoes . OMG it was delicious!!! My hubby had the steak and thoroughly enjoyed it too . He had the peanut butter stack and swore it was the best dessert he’s ever had . If ever we go back to that area we will definitely visit the pub again.

As we are staying in Mawgan Porth on holiday, the owners of our holiday cottage recommended The Travellers Rest to us, I always say if the locals recommend somewhere it must be good. We were not disappointed, a lovely welcoming pub, with friendly and attentive staff. The food was excellent, my partner had the pork chop in cider, which was beautifully presented on a bed of fresh vegetables with roasted new potatoes. I had the beef burger with homemade slaw and chunky chips, very tasty too. For dessert we had homemade sticky toffee pudding and peanut butter stack, both were delicious. Best pub food I have had in years! Thanks for a lovely meal and excellent customer service.

Another wonderful evening at Travellers tonight. The last night of my parents being down on holiday so the ideal place to enjoy a wonderful meal as always. Twice in a week is not helping the waistline however it is keeping me very happy and very content. Life in Cornwall is an absolute blessing, just like this pub, its staff and the sensational food.

Keep up the amazing work guys and we shall see you again soon. We might even brave bringing all 3 dogs ���, but for tonight it’s a massive thanks from James, Michele and Cookie �
