Very welcoming staff, great selection of wines (which is a very nice surprise) and beers and very tasty food. Not to mention an amazing view point. Well worth a visit!

Tried a few inns before we went into the Traveller's Rest Inn, didn't like the menus or feel of the prior places! We were then lucky to find the Traveller's Inn, nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and 2 course meal for around £16.95, beef dinner was brought hot to the table, vegetables very tasty all followed by large puddings, delicious rice pudding and sticky toffee pudding, no scrimping on quality or quantity. We left full and satisfied.

This was the 3rd time we've stayed here and it's been brilliant every time. The food is amazing (especially the steaks), the staff are all very friendly and attentive and the rooms nice and clean. They've started renovations recently to update the accommodation and what they've done so far looks great. Looking forward to our next stay!

Stopped here 13 April for one night with my son wow wow what a fantastic place just newly decorated to a very high standard. Staff very helpful and welcoming and a lovely breakfast highly recommend the travellers rest great view and a short walk in to Grasmere.

Stayed last Saturday night , our room was spotless and very tastefully decorated ! The bathroom was lovely with good fixtures and fittings. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty and the staff very attentive. We will definitely be back x

Stayed here for the night in early December and thoroughly loved everything about it. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome.

Our room was beautifully presented, spotless and very comfortable. Really tasty and plentiful evening meal and breakfast.

So Christmassy and the views of the snow topped hills were picturesque.

Foul weather and on our way back to Keswick when we called in all wet and bedraggled

Staff were very welcoming and not a bit phased by our attire or my coat drying on a stool by the open fire

We were expecting pub food but we're so wrong. It was excellent and worthy of any posh restaurant

It was a chance meeting but one that I would highly recommend to anyone who's in the area

After a walk near Keswick we rocked up with Husky in tow, we were welcomed in by the friendly staff, Wolf curled up by the table as we enjoyed excellent food, steak and kidney pudding and home made beef burger, washed down with some local beer. Very reasonably priced, with an original honest feel to the place

Lovely, friendly staff. Made us and our dogs very welcome! Has a great traditional Lakes charm with great pub food and a nicely decorated room! Will definitely recommend! Thank you!

Lovely little hotel, very nice room. Food was excellent. Real fire in the bar and good selection of beers.

Due to the fact we had to cancel and rebook due to the bad weather, we had a lovely stay, room was very small and very warm but they had accommodate us, food was ok, would stay again but the room would have to be bigger x

Called in on the off chance for a meal. Service was fab, all the staff were lovely. Food was good. Quick service and would highly recommend

Was friendly to go to, but the company of 4 ordered food and were very disappointed with the quality of the pan fried lamb with veg, £13.95 for what was an attempted Al a carte meal, 3 small potatoes with 3 small pieces of broccoli dotted around the plate and the carrot batons, green beans under the lamb, very waterey greasy gravy/sauce and no redcurrant visible, lamb very tough and fatty not very enjoyable at all, won't be returning

Had lunch there yesterday, food was Ok if not a little overpriced. Service a little slow as we had to remind them about a side order. Superfood salad was nice but a little too dry.
