Busy today after all the requests here it is 28day aged old English longhorn beef lasagne

We are open for drinks today but will be closing early due to the weather Friday open as normal food service with a reduced menu hope to get back to normal operation as soon as the weather improves stay safe and give us a call if you are coming please do not assume we are open check first our staff have to travel and there safety is paramount

Valentines supper Tuesday night no gimmicks just good food and sensible prices

Went for lunch, just had soup and a sandwich and the soup was fabulous, lovely place and great garden for the kids to play in. Just wished I lived in walking distance

Was brilliant and nice. Everyone was really eager to help and friendly. We only stayed for one night and arrived late. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The food is excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. We were holidaying with elderly relatives and they went out of their way to ensure we were all catered for. If we come that way again we will definitely be back.

Stayed over at the travellers rest because we were attending a wedding in Hexham. We absolutely loved it. Accommodation was comfortable, spotless and had everything we could possibly have needed. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was amazing. I just wish it was a bit closer to home.

Stayed for one night. The room was very comfortable, my dinner (steak and ale pie) was delicious and my breakfast set me up for the day. The staff were very friendly and the locals seemed nice. I'd certainly go there again if I was ever back in the area.

Stayed b & b. Lovely clean rooms and facilities Breakfast - full English - large portions and very tasty! Made to feel very welcome . Lovely cheerful staff. Going back loved it!

So go we went twice in one week. Try the Whale/Fish and chips or Steak & Heaven Pie!

It's our local and we love it... We Never fail to find something on the menu, that's not cooked to perfection. Steaks to die for and the most wonderful ice cream. Landlords always have a welcoming smile, and never fail to entertain... I'm not just saying it... Try the Travellers.. you won't go wrong for an excellently cooked and presented meal, and great service �
