Wow we arrived quite late 9.30ish after a lo g journey from Wales.

We arrived to a warm welcome great service and amazing hot food.

We opted for breakfast which was outstanding again so much to choose from and all so fresh.

Great visit will be using the hotel again because of quality of food and service.

We are regulars for breakfast at treacle mine and we cannot rate this lovely restaurant enough.

The girls are always smiley , lovely, helpful and polite.

My husband took me for the Valentine's meal yesterday, it was nice to be greeted with Christi who is familiar with us from breakfast. The service was lovely and we were well looked after . Can't thank you all enough �

Last minute decision to go here and so glad we did!! Best breakfast around with great variety and price is good. I think it's amazing the kids can eat free! Recommend !!! �

I live in North East London and have to go to Eastborne often, every time I do I stop here and have a good meal with good service.

I have been here quite a few times over the years. It certainly was not 5 star when it first opened and we steered clear for quite a while. But I must say that in the past years that I have been visiting again I have always had good, friendly service and no complaints about the food or menu. There is a good choice of food to cater for everyone and the prices are very reasonable. My family and I will continue to eat here in the future. Well done Treacle Mine.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here, last night was no exception! I tried the new ‘Winter’ choice - Beef stout Cobbler which was amazing, the beef was tender and the portion size was very generous. Brilliant value for money and will be coming back again very soon!

Had a lovely family meal here this evening! It was delicious and the staff are amazing! Will definitely be back again soon!

Amazing evening .amazing food very helpful and lovely staff and the chocolate orange crownie was to die for that gets 10 out of 10 :-)

We have eaten there many times but this weekend the food and service was really really good. The smoked salmon was delicious I had it both nights and the sharing starter platter was lush. Steak was a bit tough on the mixed grill and too much red wine in the beef stew but both the chicken escalope and chicken fortisiere were really good. Our waitress was fab too

Last minute decision and very enjoyable � Not quite 'fine dining' but the prices reflect that. Seated promptly and served without delays. Kind waitress who made one error but put it right straight away! Very obliging and making sure we had what we needed. Staff overall very friendly. The food was nice. We shared a platter of starter 'chips' which were delicious and the Sea Bass nicely done with new potatoes and vegetables. Side salad completed a nice, healthy meal. Coffee and Baileys on Ice after and we left happy ��

My only suggestions would be 'Keep the interior up-to-date and clean to stay a touch above any other chain restaurants. Carpets etc. and a quick refresh paint once every year or two should keep it clean and inviting.

Definitely go again and would recommend it as reasonable prices and nice friendly family atmosphere ���

Eat here regularly, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff are lovely, food is good and service is always timely. Especially liking the new (ish) non alcoholic cocktails.



Only complaint is the ladies toilets. Taps are such a fine spray it's impossible to wash just your hands as it sprays all up your arms and hand dryers are pathetic. It would be just as fast to dry them by waving them about. Need replacing with either a decent dryer or paper towels. Come on guys sort your hand washing facilities out.

Was ok my friend loved hers but mine was ok the lamb was a bit chewing but can't blame chef you never now what meat is like l have had chewy meat at home to but staff were lovely and would go back

The meal was lovely, but unfortunately 2 pints of drinks spilt on me by accident, the staff didn't attend to me seamed more interested in the spillage on the floor, also management team did not see me or help me dry out! The gave us a small discount, but uncaring! Such a shame

Meals were lovely but unfortunately some of the staff extremely rude I bought my staff here for our Xmas work meal and we asked if one of our party who was pregnant and had been quite poorly not that this makes any difference but we asked for instead of mushroom and oil ciabatta bread if we could just have the ciabatta plain with butter we were given a very rude no as it messes with the stock levels I pointed out it made no difference as I would be paying for the full starter so just throw the other bits away the lady was quite rude about it and in the end bought her a few pieces of sliced bread (not the ciabatta) dry with no butter but still charged for the full starter the bar man was lovely and very helpful

The meal was ok. I had the steak which was supposed to be medium/rare, but was medium, also a bit chewy. Must say, the chips were very good. The service was a little slow, but not expecting it to be fast food. One very nice waitress.

I had a Malbec red wine, and found it pretty awful.

Overall, would I visit again? Yes, I would give it another go and try something different.

Stopped at premier inn next door and called in for tea staff friendly but my meal wasn’t up to much had hunters chicken looked as though it was thrown on the plate

Had breakfast not really good value either plenty of cereal etc but actual breakfast consisted of one small sausage one rasher of bacon a tomato, beans and a few mushrooms £8:99

We had the misfortune to eat there Tuesday lunchtime we were a group of ladies. We had pre ordered our lunches when they came out several of us were very disappointed with the food. I ordered scampi it was very expensive for a very small amount of scampi with a few frozen chips and I mean a few, around a small spoonful of frozen peas. A pitiful lunch for around £9 another lady had gammon eggs and chips this was another disgraceful lunch hard chewy bacon the eggs were over cooked and small amount of chips. The service was poor asking how much are your coffees? The reply erm might be £2 25 I really don't know!!!!! We will not be returning we thought we would give the place one more try as we have eaten there before, But it failed miserably, don't waste your money the food and service are TERRIBLE NEVER AGAIN

Waited for more than an hour for food , when it arrived was given lamb instead of Ranch steak which was over cooked and very dry. Complained told they had run out of ranch steak would I like one of the other steaks. Had a Rib eye which was very nice but the peas were like cannon balls those that had chips were lucky if they had 8 or more on their plates, portions very small. Ordered deserts which again took ages just for a coffee and mini desert plus a few ice cream sundae's. Needless to say we will not be returning any time soon ! Very disappointed....

Disgusting. Our ciabatta rolls had tons of flour on. after scraping it off as much as possible there was a huge pile on the plate with still more on the rolls. Brown soggy lettuce and soggy tomatoes. Gross. Would not recommend
