Alex completed an amazing groom on Bruce when attending our One Day Pet Groomjng Course. Bruce has a typical cockapoo coat which is one hard coat to maintain. Alex left with the knowledge of not only how to keep his coat in top condition but how to groom him just like he gets when he comes to our Trendy Pooches Moreton. Well done to you both 💖🐶

The Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming Qualification Awarded by Open College Network West Midlands is a recognised Level 3 (A level) Qualification approved by Ofqual.
You do not need any prior experience to start this course or to have completed a Level 2 first. Unlike other qualifications of the same stature, there are no pre-requisites to starting the course, meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level course first.
Over the period of 25 days, you w...ill groom a minimum of 10 different breeds in a minimum of 15 different styles. This exceeds other courses available and we believe gives our students a solid foundation on which to continue developing their skills and career.
The qualification will demonstrate to an employer or the general public that you have the necessary technical skills and knowledge to successfully groom a variety of dogs. This is a formal, regulated, nationally recognised qualification that will remain relevant throughout your career. It has been designed specifically for those looking to become professional dog groomers or those who already groom dogs (as a hobby or career) but do not currently hold a nationally recognised qualification. For experienced groomers, we can offer a fast-track plan to gaining the qualification by skill demonstration.
COURSE CONTENTS:
As with all of our grooming courses at Trendy Pooches Academy you will be trained in practical skills such as bathing, scissoring, clipping, nail trimming and ear plucking.

Today Angela and her gorgeous Cavachon, Jess joined us for a One Day Pet Grooming Course. Jess had some moments of uncertainty throughout the groom but with a little TTouch, treats and some freework she shook off all that tension and enjoyed most of the groom. Well done Angela and Jess!!! Today we had local dog groomer Gemma in for her assessment day for her Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming! Well Done!! Coco, Dolly and Bella look gorgeous! Bella in particular really benefited from the T Touch we did today. She was tense in the beginning but after some touches and time with a body wrap on, she was so relaxed, even her owner noticed a difference when she was picked up! Good Luck Gemma on this journey to complete your qualification 👩🏼‍🎓🐶✂️

Today we where joined by Gorgeous Frankie and Wendy. Wendy loves a teddy bear look on Frankie and attended our One Day Pet Grooming Course to learn how to achieve this look. Frankie is quite sensitive with his front legs and also has hyper mobility in his back legs so we we opted to use the calming cradle to help take some weight of his joints. We also did a bit of free work which helps release any tension Frankie may have been building up and is also very rewarding to the dogs. Well done Wendy and Frankie. He was such a delightful little man.

Would like to thank all the staff you have done a fantastic job with my milo ( Yorkshire terrier) he looks amazing.

What an incredible job you have done on my old English sheepdog Harley. After being badly matted and scruffy you made him look fantastic and you showed him lots of love and care thank you. Will definately come back again

Rafa was transformed from scruffy collie to sleek sparkling collie today, his white bits are actually white! Thanks for being so good with him and I hope he was a well behaved model for the students.

I’ve had a wonderful day here today, I learnt so many things. Everyone was really nice and friendly, the dogs were all relaxed and everyone is so patient with them. The dogs are so gorgeous and well behaved that's down to a relaxed environment. Carnt wait to do another course soon ���
